IT-palveluidenhallinnalla pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n siihen, ett\u00e4 IT-osastot olisivat joustavia ja kustannustehokkaita liiketoimintayksik\u00f6it\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4n mahdollistamiseen on kehitetty erilaisia viitekehyksi\u00e4, kuten ITIL, joka tarjoaa organisaatioille IT-palvelunhallinnan prosesseja. IT- palvelunhallinnan viitekehyksill\u00e4 on tutkitusti positiivisia vaikutuksia IT- osastojen toimintaan ja tehokkuuteen.\nOrganisaatioille on kuitenkin kallista tuottaa kaikki IT-palvelut sis\u00e4isesti, joten ulkoistamisella pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n laskemaan IT-osaston kustannuksia sek\u00e4 hankkimaan laadukkaita IT-palveluita. IT-palveluita on perinteisesti ulkoistettu yhdelle palveluntarjoajalle, mutta viime vuosien aikana on siirrytty ulkoistamaan palveluita useammalle palveluntarjoajalle ja hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n monitoimittajaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6\u00e4 palveluintegraation avulla. Monitoimittajaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n hallinta ei ole ongelmatonta, mutta palveluintegraattorin avulla voidaan ongelmia ratkaista. Palveluintegraation hallintaan kehitetty SIAM-malli esittelee palveluintegraattorin roolin, jonka teht\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4 on huolehtia asiakasorganisaation ja palveluntarjoajien v\u00e4lisest\u00e4 suhteesta ja siit\u00e4, ett\u00e4 palveluita tuotetaan niin kuin on sovittu.\nT\u00e4ss\u00e4 pro gradu -tutkielmassa tutkitaan kirjallisuuskatsauksen ja laadullisen monitapaustutkimuksen avulla SIAM-malliin kuuluvan palveluintegraattorin rakenteita, sen valintaan vaikuttavia tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 sek\u00e4 kehityskohteita. Kirjallisuuskatsauksen tarkoituksena on kartoittaa, IT-palveluiden hallinnasta ja palveluintegraatiosta tehty\u00e4 tutkimusta sek\u00e4 esitell\u00e4 erilaisia palveluintegraattorirakenteita. Tutkimuksen perustella voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 IT-palveluiden hallinnasta, viitekehyksist\u00e4 ja IT-palveluiden ulkoistamisesta on tehty kattavasti tutkimusta, mutta palveluintegraatiosta ja palveluintegraattorin roolista on tehty v\u00e4h\u00e4n tutkimusta. T\u00e4m\u00e4n lis\u00e4ksi kirjallisuuden perusteella voidaan tunnistaa kuusi erilaista palveluintegraattorirakennetta. Monitapaustutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena haastattelututkimuksena, jonka avulla kartoitettiin palveluintegraattorirakenteen valintaa ja toimintaa. The main objective of ITSM is to make IT departments agile and cost-effective business units. Therefore, frameworks such as ITIL have been created. ITIL for example consists of guidelines on how to operate ITSM processes. ITSM frameworks are proofed to have positive effect on the operation and efficiency of IT departments.\nAs it is expensive for organizations to provide all IT services by themselves, organizations have outsourced their IT services for decades. By out- sourcing IT services organizations aim to lower the cost of IT services and procure quality IT services. For many years IT services have been outsourced to just one provider but during the recent years there has been a shift towards multioutsourcing. This has made it possible for organizations to gain benefits from multiprovider ecosystems by utilizing service integration. Managing multiple providers has its challenges but the challenges can be solved with the help of service integrator. The SIAM model, which was created for service integration management introduces the role of a service integrator which is responsible for the relationship between the customer organization and service providers and makes sure the services are provided as agreed.\nThis master\u2019s thesis aims to study the service integrator role in SIAM- model and the aspects that influence the selection of service integrator through literature review and qualitative multi case study. The research topic is justified as the previous research of the area is scarce. The objective of the literature review is to find out what kind of research have been done about ITSM, and service integration and in addition to introduce different service integrator structures. According to the research a lot of research have been made about ITSM, ITSM frameworks and IT outsourcing but the research about service integration and the role of service integrator is scarce. According to literature there are six different structures for service integrator. The case study was conducted with qualitative interviews and the aim was to map out different aspects leading to the choice of service integrator and to research how the service integrator works.
