Toiseksi sen tarkoitus oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, tapahtuuko alakoulu yl\u00e4koulusiirtym\u00e4ss\u00e4 muutosta ulkoisten k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4ss\u00e4. Molempia kysymyksi\u00e4 tarkastelimme lis\u00e4ksi sukupuolittain. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on lis\u00e4t\u00e4 tietoa toisen asteen koulutuksen keskeytt\u00e4misen riskitekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 ja antaa tietoa koulusiirtym\u00e4st\u00e4.\nTutkimusaineisto (N= 3470) koostui Alkuportaat \u2013seurantatutkimuksesta (Lerkkanen, Niemi, Poikkeus, Poskiparta, Siekkinen, & Nurmi, 2006\u20132016) sek\u00e4 Koulu- polku: Alkuportailta jatko-opintoihin \u2013hankkeen seurantatutkimuksesta (Vasalampi & Aunola, 2016\u2013). Aineisto on ker\u00e4tty nelj\u00e4lt\u00e4 eri paikkakunnalta. Ulkoisten k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4 mitattiin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 SDQ-mittarin itsearviointilomaketta. Tieto koulutuksen keskeytt\u00e4misriskist\u00e4 muodostettiin yhdist\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 oma arvio opintojen etenemisest\u00e4 sek\u00e4 kouluilta saatu rekisteritieto valmistumisesta. Aineisto analysoitiin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en toistettujen mittausten varianssianalyysia.\nTulosten mukaan ulkoisten k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireiden kehitys 6., 7., ja 9. luokalla ei ennustanut toisen asteen koulutuksen keskeytt\u00e4misriski\u00e4. Sukupuolittain tarkasteltuna havaittiin, ett\u00e4 pojilla ulkoisten k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireiden kehitys 7. ja 9. luokan v\u00e4lill\u00e4 oli v\u00e4henev\u00e4, kun tyt\u00f6ill\u00e4 kehityst\u00e4 ei tapahtunut. Koulusiirtym\u00e4ss\u00e4 alakoulusta yl\u00e4kouluun ei ulkoisten k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4ss\u00e4 tapahtunut muutosta, kun tarkasteltiin koko aineistoa. Verrattaessa kesken\u00e4\u00e4n poikien ja tytt\u00f6jen ulkoisten k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n muutosta, tyt\u00f6ill\u00e4 k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireiden m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 v\u00e4heni ja pojilla muutosta ei tapahtunut.\nTutkimus tuo uutta tietoa ulkoisten k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireiden kehityksest\u00e4 Suomessa. Tulokset ovat aiempien tutkimustuloksien vastaisia, mik\u00e4 voi selitty\u00e4 sill\u00e4, ettei aineistossa juuri esiintynyt ulkoisia k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireita. Kouluymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n voidaan ajatella puuttuvan t\u00e4m\u00e4n kaltaiseen k\u00e4yt\u00f6kseen ajoissa, ja sit\u00e4 kautta ehk\u00e4isev\u00e4n toisen asteen koulutuksen keskeytysriski\u00e4. Alakoulu yl\u00e4koulusiirtym\u00e4\u00e4 ei ole aiemmin tutkittu liittyen ulkoisiin k\u00e4yt\u00f6soireisiin, ja tutkimuksemme vastasi t\u00e4h\u00e4n tarpeeseen.
