My\u00f6s istuva el\u00e4m\u00e4ntapa on todettu keskeiseksi terveysriskiksi ik\u00e4ryhmist\u00e4 riippumatta. Liikkuva Koulu- hanke on ollut er\u00e4s valtakunnallisesti n\u00e4kyv\u00e4 toimenpide kouluik\u00e4isten lasten ja nuorten fyysisen aktiivisuuden edist\u00e4miseksi. Vuodesta 2017 l\u00e4htien hanketta laajennettiin toisen asteen koulutukseen Liikkuva opiskelu- ohjelmaksi. Opiskelup\u00e4iv\u00e4n aikaisen fyysisen aktiivisuuden edist\u00e4misen yhdeksi toimenpiteeksi on kirjattu toiminnalliset oppitunnit ja opetusmenetelm\u00e4t. Ne valittiin tutkimuksen aihepiiriksi, koska se on osa-alue koulup\u00e4iv\u00e4ss\u00e4, johon opettajat p\u00e4\u00e4sev\u00e4t konkreettisimmin vaikuttamaan tehdess\u00e4\u00e4n valintoja opetuksen suunnittelu- ja toteutusvaiheissa.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaisia n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4 lukion opettajilla on toiminnallisista oppitunneista ja opetusmenetelmist\u00e4 Liikkuva opiskelu- ohjelman kontekstissa, millaisena he n\u00e4kev\u00e4t toiminnallisuuden merkityksen lukiossa ja millaisia edist\u00e4vi\u00e4 ja est\u00e4vi\u00e4 tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 he n\u00e4kev\u00e4t toiminnallisten oppituntien ja opetusmenetelmien toteuttamiselle lukion arjessa. Tutkimuksen avulla pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n muodostamaan kuvaa siit\u00e4, millaisena ilmi\u00f6n\u00e4 toiminnalliset oppitunnit ja opetusmenetelm\u00e4t n\u00e4ytt\u00e4ytyv\u00e4t lukio-opettajien n\u00e4kemyksiss\u00e4. Tutkimuksen l\u00e4hestymistapa on laadullinen, ja aineiston analyysi tehtiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isell\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysilla. Tutkimuksen aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin teemahaastatteluilla tammi-maaliskuussa 2020. Haastateltavat opettajat ovat lukion aineenopettajia, jotka rekrytoitiin harkinnanvaraisella otannalla sellaisista lukioista, joissa toteutetaan Liikkuva opiskelu- ohjelmaa. Aineisto koostuu yhteens\u00e4 yhdeks\u00e4st\u00e4 (n=9) teemahaastattelusta.\nTulosten mukaan opettajien toiminnallisuuden toteuttamista m\u00e4\u00e4ritt\u00e4v\u00e4t tekij\u00e4t ovat opettajan henkil\u00f6kohtaisen k\u00e4ytt\u00f6teoria, opettajan luomat toimintatavat, ammatillisen kehittymisen tarve ja toimintaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n eli esimerkiksi eri oppiaineiden luonne sek\u00e4 toimintakulttuurin vaikutus eli muutoksen tekemisen hitaus vaikuttavat toiminnallisuuden toteuttamiseen. Toiminnallisten oppituntien ja opetusmenetelmien merkitys eli keskeiset perustelut hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 niit\u00e4 opetuksessa ovat oppimisvalmiuden sek\u00e4 opetus- ja oppimisprosessien edist\u00e4minen. Keskeisimpi\u00e4 toiminnallisuuden toteuttamista edist\u00e4vi\u00e4 tekij\u00f6it\u00e4 ovat opettajien asenne, k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 oleva aika, suunnittelu sek\u00e4 materiaalit, tilat ja v\u00e4lineet. Est\u00e4vin\u00e4 tekij\u00f6in\u00e4 taas n\u00e4htiin negatiivinen asenne, ep\u00e4varmuus tai urautunut ajattelu, ajan puute, opetussuunnitelman ja ylioppilaskirjoitusten voimakkaasti ohjaama toiminta sek\u00e4 tiloihin liittyv\u00e4t rajoitukset.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen perusteella opettajat eiv\u00e4t n\u00e4e toiminnallisia oppitunteja ja opetusmenetelmi\u00e4 ensisijaisesti opiskelijoiden koulup\u00e4iv\u00e4n aikaisen fyysisen aktiivisuuden edist\u00e4misen v\u00e4lineen\u00e4, vaan ty\u00f6kaluna edist\u00e4\u00e4 opetusta ja opiskelijoiden oppimista.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "Decreasing physical activity among children and adolescents has been one topic to be worry about in Finnish society in couple of last years. Sedentary behaviour is also one crucial health risk regardless to age group. Liikkuva koulu- program has been one of the most remarkable operation to promote children\u2019s and adolescents\u2019 health in Finnish elementary schools. Since the year of 2017 this program has been expanded also to secondary schools, holding the name Liikkuva opiskelu. One of the key topics of Liikkuva opiskelu is \u2019action based lessons and teaching methods\u2019 which is one way to promote children\u2019s and adolescents\u2019 physical activity during the school day. Action based lessons and teaching methods is also a phenomenon that can be influenced by teachers to promote physical activity in school environment. \n\nThe aim of this study is to investigate: a) what kind of views upper secondary school teachers have about action based lessons and teaching methods in the context of Liikkuva opiskelu- program? b) what is signification of action based lessons and teaching methods in upper secondary school according to teachers? and c) What kind of contributing and inhibiting factors exist related to implementation of action based lessons and teaching methods in upper secondary schools? The goal of this study is to understand what kind of phenomenon action based lessons and teaching methods is in upper secondary schools from the teachers\u2019 point of view. The approach of this study is qualitative, data-driven content analysis and the data was collected by using theme interview. Interviews were held between January and end of March 2020. Participants interviewed (n=9) for the study were recruited with discretionary method from such upper secondary schools, that are part of Liikkuva opiskelu- program. \n\nAccording to participants of this study and their views, key factors determining the implementation of action based lessons and teaching methods are outlined above all from the perspectives of teacher\u2019s personal-practical theory, classroom practices managed by teachers, professional development and impact of operating environment and culture. The key arguments for exploiting action based lessons and teaching methods is to promote learning readiness and processes of teaching and learning. In addition, participants also expressed the meaningfulness of teaching and learning and promotion of physical activity and health as a significant factors, but not so widely than in factors of learning and teaching. \n\nThe main contributing factors to implement action based lessons in upper secondary schools are teacher\u2019s attitude, available time, pre-planning and available materials, equipments and facilities. On the other hand, the main barriers to implement action based lessons in upper secondary schools according to the views of teachers are negative attitude of teachers, uncertainty or rotten thinking, lack of time, and teacher\u2019s work strongly guided by the curriculum and matriculation examinations.
