Teoreettinen viitekehys koostuu ty\u00f6n murroksen, uuden ty\u00f6n ja tietokykykapitalismin k\u00e4sitteist\u00e4 sek\u00e4 opettajien ty\u00f6h\u00f6n vaikuttaneista 2000-luvun lakimuutok-sista. Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa paneudutaan koulutuspolitiikan merkitykseen luokan- ja erityisopettajan ty\u00f6n suunnan n\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4n\u00e4. Tutkimusteht\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4ni on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaisia merkityksi\u00e4 opettajat ovat antaneet kokemilleen ty\u00f6n muutoksille. Tutkimusteht\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4n vastasin seuraavien tutkimuskysymysten avulla: \n1. Miten tutkittavien opettajien ty\u00f6 on muuttunut 2000-luvulla?\n2. Millaisia merkityksi\u00e4 opettajat antavat ty\u00f6n muutoksille?\n3. Millaisia narratiiveja opettajat kertovat ty\u00f6n muutoksista?\n\nTutkimusaineisto koostui 16 luokan- ja erityisopettajan teemahaastattelusta. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 kvalitatiivisessa tutkimuksessa opettajien kokemuksia tutkittiin narratiivien analyysill\u00e4, mink\u00e4 lis\u00e4ksi analyysiss\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynnettiin sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin luokittelua, teemoittelu ja tyypittely\u00e4. Tutkimustulosten mukaan luokan- ja erityisopettajien ty\u00f6n ty\u00f6nkuva on laajentunut, oppilaat ovat muututtuneet levottomammiksi ja enemm\u00e4n tukea tarvitseviksi. Ty\u00f6n v\u00e4lineet ovat teknologisoituneet. Ty\u00f6n prosessit, oppimisen tuki sek\u00e4 kasvatuksen osuus ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 on muuttunut. Opetus- ja toimintakulttuurin muuttuminen sek\u00e4 laajat, yhteiskunnalliset muutokset ovat ty\u00f6n muutosten takana. Opettajat antoivat muutoksille positiivisia, negatiivisia, ristiriitaisia, neutraaleja sek\u00e4 ohjaavia merkityksi\u00e4. Monet muutokset osoittautuivat analyysin perusteella ristiriitaisiksi. Todellinen muutos on tapahtunut yhteisty\u00f6n m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4ss\u00e4 ja sis\u00e4ll\u00f6ss\u00e4 sek\u00e4 oppimisen tuen j\u00e4rjest\u00e4misess\u00e4. Ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4n muutokset kiteytettiin tulosten perusteella kahdeksaan narratiivityyppiin: positiivisiin t\u00e4hti- ja onnitarinoihin, negatiivisiin kritiikki- ja k\u00e4rsimystarinoihin, ristiriitaisiin ajautumis- ja ristiriitatarinoihin, ohjautuvuustarinaan sek\u00e4 neutraaliin kehitt\u00e4j\u00e4opettajan tarinaan. Opettajat n\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t hy\u00f6tyv\u00e4n ty\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n vanhemmuuden kokemuksistaan.
