Tutkielmassa käsitellään myös visuo-haptisten virtuaalisimulaattoreiden hyötyjä. There are many simulators that have been made for surgeons that can be used for training without endangering patients. Literature concerning visuo-haptic virtual reality simulators for surgeon training is reviewed in this work. These simulators aim to provide highly realistic educational environment for learning to perform surgeries. The general architechture of such simulators is presented. Benefits of visuo-haptic virtual reality simulators are reviewed.
