Urheiluyleis\u00f6n tutkiminen tuottaa useille toimijoille arvokasta tietoa yleis\u00f6n rakenteesta, motiiveista ja toiveista. Mediav\u00e4litteist\u00e4 urheilun kuluttamista on tutkittu Suomessa yleis\u00f6n n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta hyvin v\u00e4h\u00e4n maksullisten urheilukanavien kontekstissa. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa selvitet\u00e4\u00e4n maksullisten urheilukanavien kuluttajien profiilia, urheilun katsomisen motiiveja sek\u00e4 arvostuksia koskien urheilul\u00e4hetyksen sis\u00e4lt\u00f6j\u00e4. Kyseess\u00e4 on kvantitatiivinen kyselytutkimus. Tutkimusotos koostuu Ruutu+ -palvelun tilaajista. Tutkimusaineisto (n=1600) ker\u00e4ttiin s\u00e4hk\u00f6isell\u00e4 kyselylomakkeella vuoden 2020 maaliskuun aikana. \n\nKyselyn vastaajista 64 prosenttia oli miehi\u00e4 ja 36 prosenttia naisia. Tulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 miehet katselivat naisia enemm\u00e4n urheilua television v\u00e4lityksell\u00e4 ja mit\u00e4 vanhempi vastaaja oli, sit\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n h\u00e4n seurasi urheilua televisiosta. Urheilua seurattiin television v\u00e4lityksell\u00e4 keskim\u00e4\u00e4rin 4\u20136 tuntia viikossa ja paikan p\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 keskim\u00e4\u00e4rin 6\u201310 kertaa vuodessa. Kiinnostus lajia kohtaan oli suurin motiivi urheilun katselun taustalla ja helppoa saatavuutta pidettiin t\u00e4rkeimp\u00e4n\u00e4 motiivina urheilun katselulle median v\u00e4lityksell\u00e4. Vastaavasti paikan p\u00e4\u00e4lle mentiin paremman tunnelman takia. Selostus, erilaisten kuvakulmien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 ja hidastukset olivat t\u00e4rkeimpi\u00e4 sis\u00e4lt\u00f6j\u00e4 urheilul\u00e4hetyksess\u00e4. Auditiiviset sis\u00e4ll\u00f6t olivat t\u00e4rke\u00e4mpi\u00e4 urheilul\u00e4hetyksen sis\u00e4lt\u00f6j\u00e4 kuin visuaaliset ja laadulliset sis\u00e4ll\u00f6t. \n\nTulokset viittaavat siihen, ett\u00e4 urheilun katsominen kiinnostaa sukupuolesta riippumatta, mutta naisilla ja miehill\u00e4 on pieni\u00e4 motiivieroja seuraamisen taustalla. Tutkielma tarjoaa Ruutu+ -palvelulle yleiskuvan palvelun yleis\u00f6profiilista sek\u00e4 mahdollisuuden edist\u00e4\u00e4 urheilusis\u00e4lt\u00f6j\u00e4\u00e4n katsojien ja kohderyhmien toiveet huomioon ottaen. Vastaavaa urheilun mediav\u00e4litteisen katselun motiiveihin ja urheilul\u00e4hetysten sis\u00e4lt\u00f6kokonaisuuksiin kohdistuvaa tutkimusta olisi hyv\u00e4 tehd\u00e4 my\u00f6s jatkossa suomalaisen urheilutuotannon sek\u00e4 katsojien sitouttamisen kehitt\u00e4miseksi.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The media's paid sports offer has increased in popularity in Finland over the past decade, although the paid sports content offered by pay-TV has been in force in the United Kingdom and the United States for some time. Researching the sports audience provides valuable information for many actors about the structure, motives and aspirations of the audience. Mediated sports consumption has been studied less in Finland from audience\u2019s perspective, especially in the context of paid sports channels. This study examines the socio-demographic profiles of consumers of paid sports channels, and their motives for watching sports and their appreciation of the content of a sports broadcast. This is a quantitative survey. The research sample consists of Ruutu+ -consumers. The data (n=1600) was collected with an electronic questionnaire during March 2020. \n\nOf the respondents, 64 percent were men and 36 percent were women. The results of the study showed that men watched more sports from television than women and the older the respondent, the more watched sports from television. The sport was watched from television for an average of 4\u20136 hours a week and on-site 6\u201310 times a year. Interest in the sports was the main motive behind watching sports and easy access was considered the main motive for watching sports through the media. Similarly, we went to the site for a better atmosphere. The narration, the use of different angles, and the decelerations were the most important contents in the sports broadcast. Auditory content was more important than sports content than visual and qualitative content.\n\nThe results suggest that it is interesting to watch sports regardless of gender, but women and men have small differences in motives behind watching. The study provides Ruutu+ an overview of the service's audience profile and the opportunity to promote its sports content, considering the wishes of consumers and target groups.
