Lis\u00e4ksi tutkin, miten interventioon osallistuneiden oppilaiden saavutuspisteet erosivat heit\u00e4 vastaavien alempia pisteit\u00e4 saaneiden oppilaiden kontrolliryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4. N\u00e4iden tutkimusteht\u00e4vien kautta haluttiin kiinnitt\u00e4\u00e4 huomiota alkuopetusik\u00e4isten lasten ajattelun taitojen tarpeellisuuteen. Etenkin ajattelutaidoissaan\ntaitamattomammat oppilaat hy\u00f6tyv\u00e4t ajattelutaitojen kehitt\u00e4misest\u00e4 eriarvoistumisen ja syrj\u00e4ytymisen ehk\u00e4isemiseksi.\n Tutkittavat olivat toisen luokan oppilaita nelj\u00e4lt\u00e4 eri luokalta (N=91). Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin testaamalla induktiivisen p\u00e4\u00e4ttelyn, analogisen p\u00e4\u00e4ttelyn\nja matemaattisen osaamisen taitoja ajattelun taitojen ja matemaattisten taitojen\nteht\u00e4v\u00e4sarjoilla. Tilastollisissa analyyseiss\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin t-testi\u00e4, Mann-Whitney Utesti\u00e4 ja Kruskall Wallis -testi\u00e4.\n Interventioryhm\u00e4 oli kehittynyt tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4sti sek\u00e4 induktiivisen p\u00e4\u00e4ttelyn ett\u00e4 matemaattisen osaamisen osalta intervention seurauksena\nik\u00e4istens\u00e4 kontrolliryhm\u00e4\u00e4n verrattuna. Sen sijaan interventioryhm\u00e4n ja vastaavien tukea tarvitsevien kontrolliryhm\u00e4n v\u00e4lisess\u00e4 vertailussa ei ollut tilastollisesti merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 eroa Voidaan siis todeta, ett\u00e4 interventiolla on ollut hienoinen,\njoskaan ei tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 tuki t\u00e4lle kehitykselle.\nAjattelutaitojen tutkimus etenkin alkuopetusik\u00e4isill\u00e4 lapsilla on ollut toistaiseksi v\u00e4h\u00e4ist\u00e4.
