Polven tekonivelleikkauksen j\u00e4lkeinen kuntoutus on vaihtelevaa, mutta yleisimmin se keskittyy polvinivelen liikelaajuuden kasvattamiseen sek\u00e4 reiden etuosan lihaksiston voiman lis\u00e4\u00e4miseen. Perinteisten paperille painettujen ohjeiden sijaan kotiharjoittelu voidaan toteuttaa tai sit\u00e4 voidaan t\u00e4ydent\u00e4\u00e4 erilaisia kuntoutuspelej\u00e4 pelaamalla. Kuntoutuspelien vaikuttavuudesta on kuitenkin ristiriitaista tietoa, eik\u00e4 vaikuttavuustutkimuksissa ole tarkasti otettu huomioon kuntoutuspelin aikaansaamaa liikett\u00e4 ja harjoitusta, kun niit\u00e4 verrataan tavanomaiseen harjoitteluun.\n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman tarkoituksena on tuottaa tietoa kuntoutukseen kehitetyist\u00e4 peleist\u00e4. Tavoitteena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 polven tekonivelkuntoutukseen kehitettyjen pelien aikana tapahtuva liike polvinivelen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta (Squat pong ja Pick up -pelit) sek\u00e4 painon jakautuminen alaraajojen v\u00e4lill\u00e4 (Bubble runner ja Hattrick -pelit). Polven tekonivelleikatut henkil\u00f6t (n=7) rekrytoitiin tutkimukseen Keksi-Suomen keskussairaalasta. He osallistuivat kuormittavuusmittauksiin, miss\u00e4 tutkitta-vat pelasivat kuntoutuspelej\u00e4. Pelien aikaisesta tutkimusdatasta on m\u00e4\u00e4ritelty toistot, peliaika, ty\u00f6-leposuhde, polvinivelen kulmanopeus, kulmakertym\u00e4 sek\u00e4 kehonpainon jakautuminen alaraajojen v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Pienen tutkimusjoukon vuoksi kaikki tulokset on esitetty mediaanina ja hajonta on esitetty interkvartiiliv\u00e4lin\u00e4 (IQR).\n\nTutkittavat olivat keskim\u00e4\u00e4rin 66 (vaihteluv\u00e4li 60\u201373) -vuotiaita ja polven tekonivelleikkauksesta oli kulunut keskim\u00e4\u00e4rin 98 (24\u2013110) vuorokautta. Kyykistymispelien osalta Pick up -peliss\u00e4 toistoissa ja peliajassa ei ollut pelaajien v\u00e4lill\u00e4 juurikaan eroa, kun taas Squat pong -peliss\u00e4 pelaajien v\u00e4linen hajonta oli suurta. Ty\u00f6-leposuhde sek\u00e4 kulmanopeus olivat kyykistymispeleiss\u00e4 samankaltaisia ja hajonta oli suurta. Pick up -pelin kulmakertym\u00e4 oli 1618 (IQR 1168) \u00b0/min ja Squat pong -peliss\u00e4 1389 (IQR 837) \u00b0/min, ero ei ole tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 (p=0,063). Rehabilitation after total knee replacement (TKR) is variable, but most commonly it focuses on increasing the range of motion of the knee joint and increasing the strength of the quadriceps. Instead of traditional paper-based instructions, home rehabilitation can be implemented or supplemented by playing an exergames. However, there is contradictory evidence about the effectiveness of exergames, and the effectiveness studies have not accurately taken into account the movement and exercise produced by the exergame when compared it to conventional training.\n\nThe purpose of this master\u2019s thesis is to provide information on games developed for rehabilitation. The aim is to investigate the movement of the knee joint (Squat pong and Pick up games) and the center of mass distribution between the lower limbs (Bubble runner and Hattrick games) during the exergames. Study participants (n = 7) were recruited from Central Finland Central Hospital. They participated in measurements where they played exergames. Repetitions, game time, work-rest ratio, knee joint angular velocity, angular accumulation, and center of mass distribution between the lower limbs have been defined from research data. Due to the small number of subjects, all results are presented as median and the variability is presented as the inter-quartile interval range (IQR).\n\nThe participants were 66 (range 60\u201373) years old and 98 (24\u2013110) days had elapsed since the TKR. In Pick up game there was almost no difference in repetitions and playing time between players while in Squat pong, the deviation between players was large. The work-rest ratio and angular velocity were similar in squatting games and the deviation was large. The angular accumulation was 1618 (IQR 1168) \u00b0/min in the Pick up game, and 1389 (IQR 837) \u00b0/min in the Squat pong game, the difference is not statistically significant (p = 0.063). The body weight of subjects is on the operated lower limb in the Pick up game 44%, in the Squat pong game 47%, and standing still 47%, the difference is not statistically significant (p = 0.051). Of the weight transfer games, Bubble runner seems to provide a more even load on both lower limbs compared to Hattrick. In several variables, the deviation (IQR) was more than half of the median value of the variable, and in some variables, the deviation (IQR) was almost equal to the median value of the variable. No statistical differences were found between the games, but an examination of the variables at the individual level suggests that similar games may be clinically different for players.\n\nIn exergames, knee joint movement and center of mass distribution vary greatly between subjects in the same game, and between games in the same subject.
