Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaista tietoj\u00e4rjestelmiin kohdistuva rikollisuus on Suomessa ja kuinka se on l\u00e4hivuosien aikana kehittynyt. Tutkimuksessa selvitet\u00e4\u00e4n my\u00f6s sit\u00e4, millaisia n\u00e4iden rikosten tekij\u00e4t ja niiden kohteet tyypillisesti ovat.\n\nTutkimusaineistona on k\u00e4ytetty aihetta k\u00e4sittelev\u00e4\u00e4 tutkimus- ja tilastotietoa, oikeuskirjallisuutta sek\u00e4 k\u00e4r\u00e4j\u00e4oikeuksissa annettuja tuomioita. Tutkimusaineistosta tehtyj\u00e4 havaintoja yhdistell\u00e4\u00e4n ja vertaillaan mahdollisimman luotettavan ja kattavan k\u00e4sityksen saamiseksi varsin v\u00e4h\u00e4n tutkitusta aiheesta. Tutkielma antaa lukijalleen monipuolisesti tietoa tietoj\u00e4rjestelmiin kohdistuvasta rikollisuudesta.\n\nTutkimustulosten perusteella tietoj\u00e4rjestelmiin kohdistuva rikollisuus on ilmi\u00f6n\u00e4 monipuolinen. Tekojen ja tekij\u00f6iden kirjo on suuri, kuten my\u00f6s rikosten kohteeksi joutuneiden. Tekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 on kuitenkin mahdollista tunnistaa tyypillisi\u00e4 piirteit\u00e4. Tyypillinen tekij\u00e4 on tutkimustulosten perusteella nuori mies, jolla on hyv\u00e4t tietotekniset taidot. Rikosten kohteiden osalta vastaavia, selkeit\u00e4 tyypillisi\u00e4 piirteit\u00e4 ei havaittu. Tutkimuksessa kuitenkin havaittiin tekij\u00f6it\u00e4, jotka voivat kasvattaa tietoj\u00e4rjestelmiin kohdistuvien rikosten uhriksi joutumisen riski\u00e4. \n\nTutkimustuloksia on mahdollista hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 rikosten tunnistamiseen ja ennalta est\u00e4miseen. The aim of the research is to find out what kind crimes against information systems are in Finland and how they have developed during the past few years. In addition, the research examines the features of the perpetrators and victims of crimes against information systems.\n\nThis research examines statistical information concerning the subject, the criminal law regulation of crimes against information systems, and the convictions of these crimes in district courts. The results gathered from the research material are combined and compared together in order to obtain the most reliable and comprehensive understanding possible of the otherwise slightly researched topic.\n\nAccording to the research results, crime against information systems is a rather diverse phenomenon. The spectrum of acts and perpetrators is wide, as are those who have been the victims of these crimes. However, it is possible to identify typical features of the perpetrators. Based on the research results a typical perpetrator is a young man with good technical skills. No similar unifying features were observed concerning the victims of these crimes. However, the study identified few factors that may increase the likelihood of falling victim to crimes against information systems.\n\nThis research provides the reader with a wide range of information about crimes against information systems. It is possible to use the results for preventing crime.
