Kuitenkaan ty\u00f6nteon tavat ja k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteet eiv\u00e4t ole paljoakaan muuttuneet viimeisten vuosien aikana teknologisesta kehityksest\u00e4 huolimatta. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa selvitet\u00e4\u00e4n kirjallisuuskatsauksen avulla digitalisaatiosta, organisaation sis\u00e4isest\u00e4 viestinn\u00e4st\u00e4 ja digitaalisista ty\u00f6paikoista l\u00f6ytyvi\u00e4 keinoja, joilla ty\u00f6tehoa voitaisiin kasvattaa nyt ja tulevaisuudessa. N\u00e4m\u00e4 potentiaaliset ty\u00f6nteon tehostamisen keinot liittyv\u00e4t uusiin teknologoihin, teknologiseen kehitykseen sek\u00e4 totuttujen ty\u00f6nteon k\u00e4yt\u00e4nteiden ja rakenteiden muutokseen. Tutkimuksessa m\u00e4\u00e4ritell\u00e4\u00e4n ja avataan digitalisaation, organisaation sis\u00e4isen viestinn\u00e4n sek\u00e4 digitaalisen ty\u00f6paikan k\u00e4sitteet ja pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n tunnistamaan n\u00e4ist\u00e4 l\u00e4ht\u00f6isin olevia keinoja kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 ty\u00f6skentely\u00e4. Tutkimuksessa havaittiin, ett\u00e4 digitalisaatio omalta osaltaan toimii taustavaikuttajana niin organisaation sis\u00e4isen viestinn\u00e4n, kuin digitaalisten ty\u00f6paikkojen kehitt\u00e4j\u00e4n\u00e4. N\u00e4ist\u00e4 jokainen omalta osaltaan voi mahdollistaa ty\u00f6skentelyn tehostumisen. Digitalisaation vaikutus ty\u00f6tehoon ja ty\u00f6ntekemisen tulevaisuuden malleihin selittyy teknologisella transformaatiolla sek\u00e4 tietokoneiden laskentatehon kasvulla. Sis\u00e4inen viestint\u00e4 ei tutkimuksen mukaan vaikuta suoraan yksitt\u00e4isen ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n ty\u00f6skentelyyn, vaan viestinn\u00e4n tehostuminen n\u00e4kyy ennen kaikkea organisaatiossa laajalla skaalalla. Tietoa t\u00e4ytyy levitt\u00e4\u00e4 organisaatiossa niille, jotka sit\u00e4 todellisuudessa tarvitsevat, kuitenkaan kuormittamatta yksitt\u00e4ist\u00e4 yksil\u00f6\u00e4 liialla tiedolla. Tutkimuksen mukaan my\u00f6sk\u00e4\u00e4n kaikkea tiedonsiirtoa organisaatiossa ei voi tulevaisuudessakaan hoitaa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en vain s\u00e4hk\u00f6isi\u00e4 viestint\u00e4teknologioita, sill\u00e4 kasvotusten tapahtuva viestint\u00e4 on hyvin tehokas keino saada ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t kokemaan ty\u00f6panoksensa merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4ksi. Digitaalisten ty\u00f6paikojen avulla organisaation rakenne, ty\u00f6paikkateknologiat sek\u00e4 tiedonv\u00e4litys voidaan pyrki\u00e4 suunnittelemaan niin ett\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4 pystyy kasvattamaan ty\u00f6tehoaan. However, working habits and practices have not changed much in recent years, despite technological advances. Using literature review this thesis explores ways to increase work efficiency now and, in the future, found in digitalization, internal communication in the organization and digital workplaces. These potential ways of making work more efficient are related to new technologies, technological developments and changes in familiar work practices and structures. The study defines and opens up the concepts of digitalization, internal communication and the digital workplace and seeks to identify ways to improve work arising from these. The study found that digitalization acts as a background influencer for both internal communication and the development of digital workplaces. Each of these can make work more efficient. The impact of digitalization on work efficiency and future work patterns can be explained by technological transformation and increase in computing power of computers. The study found that internal communication does not directly affect the work efficiency of an individual employee, but the effectiveness of communication is seen above all in the organization on a large scale. Information needs to be disseminated within the organization to those who actually need it without burdening the individual with too much information. In organization it is not possible to handle all data transfers using only electronical communication technologies. This is due to the fact that face-to-face communication is a very effective way to make employees recognize their importance in the workplace. Through the digital workplace the organizational structure, workplace technologies and communication strategies can be designed so that the employee is able to increase his or her work efficiency.
