Kasvun ja muiden mahdollisten yrityskaupan tavoitteiden saavuttaminen vaatii kuitenkin enemm\u00e4n kuin vain nimellisen omistajanvaihdoksen. Yrityskaupat vaativat yleens\u00e4 j\u00e4lkihoitoa onnistuakseen ja huolellisesti johdettu integraatio on t\u00e4ss\u00e4 monesti keskeisess\u00e4 asemassa.\nTutkin t\u00e4ss\u00e4 pro gradu \u2013tutkielmassa miten yrityskaupan j\u00e4lkeinen integraatio voi vaikuttaa yrityskaupan tavoitteiden saavuttamiseen. Teoreettisena perspektiivin\u00e4 t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa on niin kutsuttu prosessi perspektiivi, joka korostaa oikein johdetun integraatioprosessin merkityst\u00e4 onnistuneen yrityskaupan kannalta. T\u00e4m\u00e4n lis\u00e4ksi esittelen, mink\u00e4laisia integraatiovaiheen sudenkuoppia ja hyvi\u00e4 k\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6j\u00e4 aiempi akateeminen tutkimus ja kirjallisuus on tunnistanut. Teoreettisen viitekehyksen pohjalta rakennan tapaustutkimukseni, jossa tutkin suuren japanilaisen yrityksen Suomessa tekem\u00e4\u00e4 yrityskauppaa ja siihen liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 integraatiota. Ker\u00e4sin aineistoni p\u00e4\u00e4s\u00e4\u00e4nt\u00f6isesti haastattelemalla henkil\u00f6it\u00e4, jotka ovat olleet keskeisess\u00e4 asemassa t\u00e4m\u00e4n yrityskaupan integraatiovaiheessa. However, the growth and other possible acquisition goal achievement requires more than just nominal change of ownership. Acquisitions usually require aftercare and in order to unleash all the potential of the acquisition, properly managed post-acquisition integration is needed.\nIn this master\u2019s thesis, I study how post-acquisition integration can affect acquisition goal achievement. The theoretical perspective for this study is so called Process Perspective, which underlines that properly managed integration process can enable successful business acquisition. Besides this, I highlight integration practices and pitfalls from the former academic literature and studies that are recognized as desirable or avoidable.\nThe theory is applied to a case study where big Japanese corporation bought smaller Finnish organization some years ago and integrated it.
