Yritykset kohtaavat kuluttajia yh\u00e4 useammissa kohtaamispisteiss\u00e4 ja n\u00e4iden kaikkien pisteiden n\u00e4hd\u00e4\u00e4n vaikuttavan asiakaskokemuksen muodostumiseen. Er\u00e4s kohtaamispiste on yritysten ja organisaatioiden tarjoama teko\u00e4lyyn pohjautuva chatbot-palvelu, joka vastaa kuluttajien ajasta ja paikasta riippumattomaan asiakaspalvelun tarpeeseen. Chatbotien yleistymisest\u00e4 huolimatta asiakaskokemuksen muodostumista chatbot-palvelussa on tutkittu hyvin niukasti. Valtaosa chatboteihin kohdistuvasta akateemisesta tutkimuksesta keskittyy chatbotien teknisiin ominaisuuksiin, mutta t\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkielma keskittyy asiakaskokemuksen muodostumiseen chatbot-palvelussa aiheen ymm\u00e4rryksen lis\u00e4\u00e4miseksi. Tutkielma on tarkoitettu my\u00f6s yrityksille, jotka ovat kiinnostuneet chatbot-palvelusta ja sen potentiaalista.\n \nTutkimus on luonteeltaan laadullinen tutkimus, jossa haastateltiin teemahaastatteluna kymment\u00e4 satunnaisesti valittua suomalaista kuluttajaa, joilla oli kokemusta chatbotien k\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4. Haastattelun vastausten perusteella chatbotit koettiin kiinnostavina matalan kynnyksen yhteydenottokanavina, mutta kaikkien haastateltavien yleinen mielikuva chatboteista oli negatiivinen. Negatiivinen mielikuva oli muodostunut toistuvista huonoista kokemuksista chatbotien kanssa, mutta t\u00e4st\u00e4 huolimatta chatboteissa n\u00e4htiin potentiaalia ja niiden uskottiin kehittyv\u00e4n l\u00e4hitulevaisuudessa.
