Sen ennustetaan tuovan paljon hy\u00f6tyj\u00e4 oppilaiden ymm\u00e4rrykseen, taitotasoon, ohjaukseen ja motivaatioon. Alan nuoruuden takia aiheesta ei kuitenkaan ole paljon k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6n tutkimuksia, ja siksi tutkimus tehtiin selvitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n, kuinka eri l\u00e4hteiss\u00e4 ennustetut hy\u00f6dyt toteutuvat k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6ss\u00e4. Tutkimus suoritettiin ker\u00e4\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 ja ryhmitt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 l\u00e4hteiss\u00e4 todettuja hy\u00f6tyj\u00e4, ja vertaamalla niit\u00e4 oppimisanalytiikkaperusteista verkko-oppimisymp\u00e4rist\u00f6\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4vien opettajien ja oppilaiden kokemuksiin. Tutkimukseen osallistuneita opettajia haastateltiin, oppilaille jaettiin kyselylomakkeet ja ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6ll\u00e4 toteutettuja oppitunteja seurattiin. Tuloksissa selvisi, ett\u00e4 ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6 toi hy\u00f6tyj\u00e4 etenkin oppilaiden ja opettajien tiedon omaksumiseen ja arviointiin, ja ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n aiheuttama ty\u00f6skentelytavan muutos koettiin positiivisena niin opettajien kuin oppilaiden keskuudessa. Oppilaat pystyiv\u00e4t ker\u00e4tyn datan avulla paremmin hahmottamaan omaa oppimistaan ja kurssialuetta, kun taas opettajat saivat paljon dataa oppilaiden suorituksista ja ty\u00f6skentelytavoista. T\u00e4m\u00e4 mahdollisti mm. opetuksen paremman kohdennuksen niille oppilaille, jotka tarvitsivat eniten apua. Oppilaat kokivat ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n kannustavan omatoimiseen opiskeluun, ja ett\u00e4 he saivat enemm\u00e4n valtaa oppimisestaan sen avulla, mik\u00e4 tuki aiempaa tutkimusta. Koululle oppimisanalytiikkapohjaisen verkko-oppimisymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n k\u00e4ytt\u00e4minen oli perinteist\u00e4 opetusta kustannustehokkaampaa, ekologisempaa ja mahdollisti sijaisten helpomman k\u00e4yt\u00f6n. It has been predicted to cause many benefits to the understanding, skills, motivation and guidance of students. Because of the novelty of the field, there exists few studies where the fulfillment of these benefits are studied, and therefore the study was conducted to find out how these benefits are realized in a practical environment. The research was conducted by collecting and grouping the benefits envisioned by previous studies, and comparing them to the experiences of teachers and students using a learning analytics-based e-learning environment. The participants were interviewed, surveyed and observed in multiple classes. The research showed the environment benefiting especially the information retention of students and teachers, which contributed to easier self-evaluation. The data gathered from the students also benefited the teacher in offering a lot of data on the students\u2019 usage of the system and individual studying habits, and helped identify students most in need of guidance. The individuality promoted by the environment\u2019s study method also gained a lot of support from the previous research, with students feeling more in control of their learning thanks to the encouragement of the learning environment, which motivated the students.
