Lis\u00e4ksi tarkasteltiin, miten fyysinen aktiivisuus ja tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4tely olivat yhteydess\u00e4 toisiinsa. Tutkimus toteutettiin hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 uutta pedagogista ObLoMoV-menetelm\u00e4\u00e4, jossa yhdistettiin teatteri-ilmaisullisia harjoituksia ja High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) harjoitusmenetelm\u00e4\u00e4. Menetelm\u00e4\u00e4 sovellettiin liikuntatunneilla, joissa tarinallinen juoni rakennettiin Harry Potter -teeman ymp\u00e4rille. Opettajat toteuttivat menetelm\u00e4\u00e4 kymmenen 45120 minuutin oppitunnin ajan. Tutkimuksen kohdejoukkona oli nelj\u00e4 keski-suomalaista 5.luokkaa, joihin kuului yhteens\u00e4 77 oppilasta (43 tytt\u00f6\u00e4 ja 34 poikaa). Luokista yksi toimi verrokkiryhm\u00e4n\u00e4 (N=14). Oppilaiden fyysist\u00e4 aktiivisuutta ja tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4tely\u00e4 mitattiin kyselylomakkeilla Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQ-C) (Kowalski, Crocker & Donen 2004) ja Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire \u2013 Child Short Form (TeiQUE-CSF) (Petrides 2009). Kyselyt teetettiin oppilailla ennen ohjelman alkua, heti sen j\u00e4lkeen sek\u00e4 noin puoli vuotta ohjelman p\u00e4\u00e4ttymisest\u00e4. Tuloksia analysoitiin toistettujen mittausten ANOVA:lla, jolla selvitettiin menetelm\u00e4n yhteytt\u00e4 oppilaiden fyysisen aktiivisuuden ja tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4telyn keskiarvojen muutokseen alku-, loppu- ja seurantamittauksissa. Verrokkiryhm\u00e4n pienelle aineistolle valittiin Wilcoxon signed rank -testi. Lis\u00e4ksi fyysisen aktiivisuuden ja tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4telyn yhteytt\u00e4 tarkasteltiin Pearsonin korrelaatiokertoimen avulla. ObLoMoV-menetelm\u00e4\u00e4n perustuvalla ohjelmalla ei havaittu tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4\u00e4 yhteytt\u00e4 oppilaiden vapaa-ajan fyysiseen aktiivisuuteen, mutta kouluajan fyysiseen aktiivisuuteen sill\u00e4 oli tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 my\u00f6nteinen yhteys liikunta-, v\u00e4li- ja ruokatunneilla. Tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4telyn ja ObLoMoV-menetelm\u00e4n v\u00e4lill\u00e4 ei havaittu yhteytt\u00e4. Tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4telyn nelj\u00e4n summamuuttujan sek\u00e4 fyysisen aktiivisuuden v\u00e4lill\u00e4 havaittiin tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 my\u00f6nteinen korrelaatio, eli koetun tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4telyn voidaan n\u00e4hd\u00e4 olevan yhteydess\u00e4 fyysiseen aktiivisuuden tasoon t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa. T\u00e4m\u00e4n lyhyen opetusjakson ja tutkimuksen perusteella voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 pelkk\u00e4 ObLoMoV-menetelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6 ei lis\u00e4\u00e4 lasten fyysist\u00e4 aktiivisuutta, mutta sill\u00e4 voidaan lis\u00e4t\u00e4 ohjelman aikana lasten kouluajan aikaista liikkumisen m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4\u00e4. Opettamalla koulussa tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4tely\u00e4 ja niiden arviointia, voidaan lis\u00e4t\u00e4 oppilaiden kriittisyytt\u00e4 omaa tunteiden s\u00e4\u00e4tely\u00e4 kohtaan. Jatkossa tarvitaan kuitenkin pitk\u00e4kestoisempia ohjelmia ja tutkimuksia n\u00e4iden tulosten vahvistamiseksi. The method included ten drama-based physical education classes. In addition, it was examined how physical activity and emotion regulation were related. \n \nThe research was carried out using a new pedagogical drama education method combining theater and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). The method was executed during physical education classes, which built a storyline around the Harry Potter theme, and was followed by teachers for ten 45\u2013120 minute lessons. The target group of the study was four 5th grade students from Central Finland, comprising a total of 77 students (43 girls and 34 boys). One of the classes (N = 14) served as a control group. Pupils' physical activity and emotion regulation were measured using questionnaires, Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQC) (Kowalski, Crocker & Donen 2004) and Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire \u2013 Child Short Form (TeiQUE-CSF) (Petrides 2009). Questionnaires commissioned by students before and immediately after, and approximately six months after the end of the study. The results were quantified mainly by ANOVA of repeated measures, which investigated ObLoMoV's association with the change in the means of physical activity and emotion regulation in the initial, final and follow-up measurements. Wilcoxon signed rank test was selected for small control group data. In addition, the relationship between physical activity and emotion regulation was examined using Pearson's correlation coefficient. \n \nThe program based on the ObLoMoV method showed no statistically significant association with leisure time physical activity, but had a statistically significant association with pupils\u2019 school-based physical activity during physical education classes, breaks, and meals. No statistical significance was found between emotion regulation and ObLoMoV method. A statistically significant positive correlation was found between the four sum variables of emotion regulation and physical activity. \n \nFrom this short teaching period and research, it can be concluded that the mere use of the ObLoMoV drama education method does not increase the physical activity of the children, but it can increase the amount of movement of children during school hours during the program. By teaching emotion regulation and their evaluation in school, students can become more critical of their own emotion regulation. In the future, however, longer-term programs and studies are needed to confirm these results.
