Tavoitteena oli my\u00f6s selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 omien tavoitteiden arvottamisen yhteytt\u00e4 eri fyysisten kuntotekij\u00f6iden kehittymiseen.\nTutkimus toteutettiin Lukion liikunnan kurssin aikana interventiotutkimuksena. Tutkimukseen osallistuneet opiskelijat olivat 2. vuosikurssin opiskelijoita (n=20). Tutkimukseen osallistuneet opiskelijat laativat kurssin ajaksi omat tavoitteensa eri fyysisist\u00e4 kuntotekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 omien l\u00e4ht\u00f6kohtiensa ja intressiens\u00e4 mukaan. Tavoitteena oli kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 yl\u00e4vartalo-, keskivartalo-, alavartalovoimaa sek\u00e4 kest\u00e4vyytt\u00e4. Opiskelijat asettivat yksil\u00f6lliset tavoitteensa arvottamalla asteikolla 1 \u2013 4 kaikki edell\u00e4 mainitut fyysiset kuntotekij\u00e4t. Tavoitteenasettelun j\u00e4lkeen jokainen opiskelija laati itselleen keinoja mill\u00e4 tavalla h\u00e4n interventiojakson aikana p\u00e4\u00e4sisi tavoitteisiinsa. Jokainen opiskelija laati oman harjoitusohjelmansa tavoitteidensa ja kirjaamiensa keinojen pohjalle. Tavoitteenasettelun j\u00e4lkeen suoritettiin alkutestit, jonka j\u00e4lkeen opiskelijat harjoittelivat oman harjoitusohjelmansa mukaan seitsem\u00e4n viikon ajan. Harjoitusjakson ajan tutkittavat opiskelijat p\u00e4\u00e4siv\u00e4t harjoittelemaan kolme kertaa viikossa koulun liikuntatuntien puitteissa. Osa tutkittavista harjoitteli my\u00f6s omalla ajallaan. Harjoitusjakson p\u00e4\u00e4tteeksi tutkittavat suorittivat lopputestit. Lopputestien j\u00e4lkeen tutkimuksen aineiston analysoimisessa k\u00e4ytettiin SPSS 24.0 ohjelmaa. Mitattujen muuttujien tasoa kuvattiin keskiarvoilla ja keskihajonnoilla. Muuttujien v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 yhteyksi\u00e4 analysoitiin Pearsonin tulomomenttikorrelaatiokertoimien avulla. Alku- ja loppumittausten v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 eroja verrattiin toistettujen mittausten t-testill\u00e4.\nTutkimuksen p\u00e4\u00e4tuloksena voidaan todeta tavoitteenasettelun olevan tehokas keino fyysisten kuntotekij\u00f6iden kehitt\u00e4misen tukena. Tavoitteenasettelulla saatiin johdettua tutkittavien harjoittelua p\u00e4\u00e4tavoitteen suuntaan. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen perusteella p\u00e4\u00e4tavoite, eli tutkittavien asettama ensimm\u00e4inen tavoite kehittyi eniten. Vastaavasti tutkittavien nelj\u00e4nneksi t\u00e4rkeimm\u00e4ksi tavoitteeksi asetettu tavoite kehittyi v\u00e4hiten.\nMy\u00f6s fyysisten kuntotekij\u00f6iden kehitys oli tutkimuksen interventiojakson aikana merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4. Koko ryhm\u00e4n kaikki fyysiset kuntotekij\u00e4t parantuivat keskim\u00e4\u00e4rin 16,5% interventiojakson aikana. Tutkittavien p\u00e4\u00e4tavoitteen mukainen tavoite vastaavasti kehittyi 24,9%. Merkillepantavaa ja tulosten arvoa nostavaa on tutkittavan ryhm\u00e4n heterogeenisyys suhteutettuna tutkimuksesta saatuihin tuloksiin. Fyysisten kuntotekij\u00f6iden kehitysprosentit olivat suuria, vaikka ryhm\u00e4n tutkittavien l\u00e4ht\u00f6kohdat ja -taso olivat hyvin erilaisia. Johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksen\u00e4 voidaan todeta tavoitteenasettelun olevan tehokas keino tukemaan fyysist\u00e4 harjoittelua haluttuun suuntaan.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The aim of this graduate thesis was to study the effectiveness of goal setting to the development of fitness levels. Another aim was to clarify the effect of evaluating personal goals on the development of various fitness levels.\nResearch was conducted as an intervention study during a high school sports course. The students participating in the study were students of the 2nd grade (n=20). The students that took part in the study set personal goals for fitness levels according to their own capabilities and desired goals. The intention was to develop endurance and force in upper body, core and legs. The students set their personal goals by evaluating the above-mentioned fitness levels using a scale of 1 \u2013 4. After setting the goals, each student found the means by which he or she could meet the goals during the intervention period. Each student made a personal training plan based on the set goals and chosen means. After setting the goals, preliminary tests were done, after which the students trained for seven weeks according to their personal training plans. During the training period, the students taking part in the study were allowed to practice training three times a week during the school\u2019s Sports lessons. Some students were also practicing in their own free time. At the end of the training period, the students did the final tests. After the final tests were done, the material was analyzed using the SPSS 24.0 program. The level of the measured variables was described using means and standard deviations. Connections between variables were analyzed using the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. The differences between the first and last measurements were compared using a t-test of repeated measurements.\nAs the main result of the study, it can be stated that goal setting is an efficient means of developing fitness levels. By setting goals, it was possible to guide the students\u2019 training towards attainment of the main goal. This study shows that it was the main goal, or the goal which the students had evaluated as \u20191\u2019 on the fitness level scale, which showed the greatest development. Accordingly, the goal which the students had evaluated as \u20194\u2019, showed the least development.\nAlso, the development of the fitness levels was remarkable during the intervention period. During the intervention period, all fitness levels of the entire group increased by an average of 16,5%. Accordingly, the students\u2019 main goals showed an increase of 24,9%. The heterogeneity of the group under study is noteworthy when compared with the results of the study and increases the value of the results. Regardless of the fact that the students\u2019 starting levels were very different, the increased percentages of the fitness levels were high.
