T\u00e4m\u00e4n pro gradu -tutkielman tavoitteena on lis\u00e4t\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 siit\u00e4, millainen vaikutus tunteilla on tietoj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6noton onnistumiseen. Tutkielma jakautuu kirjallisuuskatsaukseen ja empiiriseen osioon, jolle kirjallisuuskatsaus muodostaa teoreettisen pohjan. Kirjallisuuskatsauksen tulosten pohjalta tietoj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6noton onnistumista p\u00e4\u00e4tettiin tutkia k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6noton kriittisten menestystekij\u00f6iden kautta. Kirjallisuuskatsauksen mukaan tunteilla on positiivisia ja negatiivisia vaikutuksia k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6noton onnistumiseen. Empiirinen osio toteutettiin laadullisena tapaustutkimuksena, jossa tutkittiin Sisu-j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoa. Aineistonkeruumenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin teemahaastatteluja, joita tehtiin kymmenen kappaletta. Haasteltaviksi valikoitiin organisaatiossa eri rooleissa olevia henkil\u00f6it\u00e4: opiskelijoita, opettajia, sihteereit\u00e4 ja sisutiimil\u00e4isi\u00e4. Aineiston analyysimenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysi\u00e4. Haastatteluissa selvitettiin, millaisia tunteita uuden j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6notto her\u00e4tt\u00e4\u00e4, ja miten ne vaikuttavat k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6noton onnistumiseen. Suurin osa haastateltavien kokemista tunteista oli negatiivisia; vain sisutiimil\u00e4iset kokivat enemm\u00e4n positiivisia kuin negatiivisia tunteita. Etenkin negatiiviset tunteet saivat haastatellut avautumaan ja valittamaan Sisu-j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4st\u00e4 ty\u00f6- ja opiskelukavereille. Toisaalta esimerkiksi ahdistus ja ep\u00e4tietoisuus saivat osan lukemaan j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6ohjeita paremmin ja pyyt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n apua j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n. Positiivisten tunteiden kokeminen lis\u00e4si haastateltujen motivaatiota ja jaksamista ty\u00f6ss\u00e4. The role of emotions in information systems success has been recognized but not much empirical research has been conducted in organizational context. The aim of this thesis is to find out how emotions affect information system implementation success. This thesis consists of literature review and empirical research. Based on the results of the literature review, information system implementation success is measured using critical success factors. The literature review also suggests that emotions have positive and negative effects on implementation success. The empirical part of this thesis was conducted using case study method and semi-structured interviews as a data collection method. The interviewees were members of the organization with different roles: students, teachers, secretaries, and members of the project team. The data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The aim of the interviews was to find out what kind of emotions are experienced during information system implementation, and how they affect implementation success. Majority of the emotions that the interviewees experienced were negative. Only the members of the project team felt more positive than negative feelings. The most common way to deal with negative emotions was complaining about the system and discussing it with colleagues or classmates.
