Tutkimuksen aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin osana Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston Teacher and Student Stress and Interaction in Classroom (TESSI) -hanketta vuosina 2017-2022. Tutkimukseen osallistui 53 ensimm\u00e4isen luokan opettajaa ja 277 oppilasta. Stressi\u00e4 mitattiin oppilaiden kortisoliarvojen avulla. Oppilailta ker\u00e4ttiin sylkin\u00e4ytteit\u00e4 kuusi kertaa koulup\u00e4iv\u00e4n aikana. Ohjaustyyli\u00e4 arvioitiin Early Childhood Classroom Observation Measure (ECCOM) -havainnointimenetelm\u00e4n avulla. Oppilaiden v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 kortisoliarvojen muutoksia tutkittiin parittaisen t-testin avulla. Opettajan ohjaustyylin yhteytt\u00e4 oppilaiden kortisoliarvoihin selvitettiin puolestaan korrelaatiokertoimien avulla.\n\nTulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 oppilaiden kortisoliarvoissa tapahtui muutosta aamup\u00e4iv\u00e4n ja iltap\u00e4iv\u00e4n mittauskertojen v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Oppilaiden kortisoliarvot olivat aamup\u00e4iv\u00e4ll\u00e4 korkeammat kuin koulup\u00e4iv\u00e4n p\u00e4\u00e4ttyess\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi tulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 mit\u00e4 v\u00e4hemm\u00e4n lapsil\u00e4ht\u00f6ist\u00e4 ohjaustyyli\u00e4 opettaja k\u00e4ytti, sit\u00e4 korkeammat kortisoliarvot oppilailla oli iltap\u00e4iv\u00e4ll\u00e4. Puolestaan, mit\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n opettajajohtoista ohjaustyyli\u00e4 opettaja k\u00e4ytti, sit\u00e4 korkeammat oppilaiden kortisoliarvot olivat iltap\u00e4iv\u00e4ll\u00e4. \n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tulokset toivat uutta tietoa ohjaustyylin yhteydest\u00e4 oppilaiden fysiologiseen stressiin. Opettajankoulutuksessa olisi t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 tuoda esille eri ohjaustyylej\u00e4 sek\u00e4 niiden merkityst\u00e4 oppimisen ja hyvinvoinnin kannalta.
