Tarkoituksena oli my\u00f6s pohtia mik\u00e4 merkitys vastauksilla on lasten urheilussa ja erityisesti maastohiihdossa. Tutkimus toteutettiin talvella 2020 fenomenografiseen l\u00e4hestymistapaan nojautuvana laadullisena tutkimuksena, johon osallistui nelj\u00e4 7-11-vuotiasta lasta. Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin puolistrukturoidulla haastattelumenetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4, joka sis\u00e4lsi keskim\u00e4\u00e4rin kymmenen p\u00e4\u00e4kysymyst\u00e4 ja kesti 45 minuuttia. Aineiston analysointiin k\u00e4ytettiin menetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 teemoittelua. Lis\u00e4ksi vastausten s\u00e4vyn analysointiin k\u00e4ytettiin tyypittely\u00e4.\n\nTutkimukseen osallistuneiden lasten kokemuksista l\u00f6ydettiin yhteens\u00e4 kuusi alateemaa, joista lapset haastatteluissa puhuivat. Teemat olivat harrastuksen mielekkyys, sis\u00e4lt\u00f6jen vaativuus, oppiminen, kaverisuhteet, ohjaaja sek\u00e4 vapaa-ajan vietto. N\u00e4m\u00e4 kuusi alateemaa yhdistettiin viel\u00e4 kolmeksi p\u00e4\u00e4teemaksi, jotka tulivat merkityksellisesti esiin lasten puheissa: hiihtokoulussa viihtyminen (44 mainintaa), sosiaaliset tekij\u00e4t hiihtokoulussa (24 mainintaa) ja vapaa-ajan vietto (13 mainintaa). Vastausten s\u00e4vy\u00e4 tyypittelem\u00e4ll\u00e4 selvisi, ett\u00e4 hiihtokoulussa viihtymiseen kuului suurimmaksi osaksi positiivisia kokemuksia (30/44), mutta my\u00f6s ik\u00e4v\u00e4ksi koettuja asioita, kuten esimerkiksi h\u00e4vi\u00e4misen ja heikkouden tunteet. Sosiaaliset tekij\u00e4t -teemaan sis\u00e4ltyi 24 mainintaa, joista suurin osa oli positiiviss\u00e4vytteisi\u00e4 (17) mutta my\u00f6s negatiiviss\u00e4vytteisi\u00e4 (7) esiintyi. Vapaa-ajan vietto ker\u00e4si 10 positiivista ja 3 negatiivista mainintaa.\n\nTutkimuksen tuloksista saatiin selville asioita, jotka ovat lapsille merkityksellisi\u00e4 hiihtokoulussa ja vapaa-ajalla. N\u00e4it\u00e4 asioita huomioimalla saatetaan onnistua vaikuttamaan positiivisesti lasten ja nuorten liikkumiseen sek\u00e4 organisoidun ja omaehtoisen urheilun harrastamiseen. Tutkimuksen tulokset olivat samassa linjassa aikaisempien tutkimusten kanssa siin\u00e4, ett\u00e4 autonomia, p\u00e4tevyyden kokemukset ja yhdess\u00e4 tekeminen lis\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4t harrastuksessa viihtyvyytt\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkimus vahvisti aiempaa tietoa siit\u00e4, ett\u00e4 ohjaajan toiminta voi parhaimmillaan olla merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4 ponnahduslauta lasten ja nuorten liikunta-aktiivisuudelle.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The aim of this study was to analyse the experiences and positions of 7-11-year-old children participating cross-country ski school organized by a sport organization. The aim of this study was as well to find out children\u2019s leisure time experiences and consider the significance of junior sports, particularly cross-country skiing, in all results. The research was carried out qualitatively using a phenomenological research method. The data was gathered with semi-structured interviews with four 7-11-year-old children as participants. Every interview included ten questions on average and took about 45 minutes. The data was analysed using thematic analysis method and typification.\nThe answers, where the participants were spoken significally, can be assorted to six subcategories in totally. The themes of the subcategories were meaningfulness of organised sport, demanding of contents, learning, friends, coach and leisure time. These subcategories were formed to three upper categories: enjoyment on the ski school (44 mentions), social matters on the ski school (24 mentions) and leisure activity (13 mentions). By sorting the tone in the answers, it became clear that cross-country ski school mostly created positive experiences (30/44), but as well some unpleasant experiences such as feelings of losing or weakness. The theme of social matters included 24 mentions, most of which were positive (17). It also included some negative mentions (7). There were 10 positive and 3 negative mentions about leisure activity.\nMatters that are meaningful for children in cross-country ski school and leisure time activities can be discovered based on the results of this study. Observing and paying attention to these matters might lead to successful positive impact on physical activity levels as well as organised and self-motivated practicing of sports among children and adolescents. The results of this study resonated with previous studies in that autonomy, experiences of qualification and acting together increase prosper at pastime activity.
