Tutkimuksessa tutkittiin oppilaiden itse kokemaa yritt\u00e4mist\u00e4 ja\nrasittuneisuutta sek\u00e4 oppilaiden saavuttamaa maksimisykett\u00e4 testin aikana. Lis\u00e4ksi tutkittiin\noppilaiden kokemusta omasta p\u00e4tevyydest\u00e4\u00e4n liikunnassa. Tavoitteena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, yritt\u00e4v\u00e4tk\u00f6\nnelj\u00e4sluokkalaiset oppilaat Move! -mittausten kaltaisessa 20 metrin viivajuoksussa parhaansa.\nLis\u00e4ksi tutkittiin, onko yritt\u00e4misen m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4, koettu rasitus, koettu p\u00e4tevyys liikunnassa tai\nmittauksen aikainen maksimisyke yhteydess\u00e4 mittauksen tulokseen ja sit\u00e4, onko sukupuolten\nv\u00e4lill\u00e4 eroja mitatuissa muuttujissa. Tutkimukseen osallistui 86 nelj\u00e4sluokkalaista oppilasta\nkuudelta luokalta ja kahdesta keski-suomalaisesta koulusta. Mittaukset suoritettiin Move! -\nfyysisen toimintakyvyn mittariston 20 metrin viivajuoksumittauksen protokollan mukaisesti.\nTutkittavien sykett\u00e4 mitattiin Polarin sykesensoreiden ja Polar GoFit-sovelluksen avulla.\nMittauksen j\u00e4lkeen oppilaat t\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t kyselylomakkeen, jossa he arvioivat suorituksensa\naikaista yritt\u00e4mist\u00e4\u00e4n, rasittuneisuuttaan sek\u00e4 koettua p\u00e4tevyytt\u00e4\u00e4n liikunnassa. Yritt\u00e4mist\u00e4 ja\nkoettua liikunnallista p\u00e4tevyytt\u00e4 arvioitiin Likert-asteikon avulla ja rasittuneisuutta Borgin\nkymmenportaisella asteikolla. Muuttujien v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 yhteyksi\u00e4 tutkittiin Pearsonin\ntulomomenttikorrelaatiokertoimen avulla ja sukupuolten v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 eroja riippumattomien otosten\nt-testill\u00e4. Tulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 koehenkil\u00f6t kokivat yritt\u00e4neens\u00e4 mittauksen aikana eritt\u00e4in\nkovasti (4.62) ja heid\u00e4n kokema rasitus mittauksen aikana oli melko korkeaa (6.94).\nTutkittavien keskim\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4inen maksimisyke mittauksen aikana oli 202.95, mik\u00e4 on melko l\u00e4hell\u00e4\nmaksimisykkeen arviointikaavoilla laskettua 11-vuotiaan maksimisykett\u00e4. Sukupuolten v\u00e4lill\u00e4\nainut tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 ero oli koetussa yritt\u00e4misess\u00e4, jossa tytt\u00f6jen yritt\u00e4minen oli\npoikia korkeampaa. Tulosten mukaan koetun p\u00e4tevyyden liikunnassa ja mittauksen tuloksen\nv\u00e4lill\u00e4 oli yhteys siten, ett\u00e4 parempi koettu p\u00e4tevyys oli yhteydess\u00e4 parempaan tulokseen. Sen\nsijaan maksimisykkeen, koetun yritt\u00e4misen tai rasituksen ja viivajuoksutuloksen v\u00e4lill\u00e4 ei\nhavaittu tilastollisesti merkitsevi\u00e4 yhteyksi\u00e4. Tulosten perusteella voidaan p\u00e4\u00e4tell\u00e4, ett\u00e4\nnelj\u00e4sluokkalaiset oppilaat yrittiv\u00e4t riitt\u00e4v\u00e4n kovasti viivajuoksumittauksessa, jotta mittaus voi\nkuvastaa luotettavasti heid\u00e4n kest\u00e4vyyssuorituskyky\u00e4\u00e4n. Nelj\u00e4sluokkalaiset eiv\u00e4t ole\nvarsinaisten Move! - fyysisen toimintakyvyn mittausj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n kohderyhm\u00e4\u00e4, joten tulokset\neiv\u00e4t ole yleistett\u00e4viss\u00e4 5-luokkalaisten Move! -mittauksiin. Todellisiin Move! -mittauksiin\nosallistuvien oppilaiden yritt\u00e4miseen viivajuoksumittauksessa tulisi kohdistaa jatkossa\ntutkimusta, jotta 20 metrin viivajuoksumittauksen soveltuvuudesta alakouluik\u00e4isten lasten\nkest\u00e4vyyskunnon mittaamiseen saataisiin lis\u00e4\u00e4 tietoa.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "The purpose of this study was to investigate how much effort Grade 4 students put when they\nwere performing 20-meter shuttle run test. This study also examined students\u2019 perception and\nexertion after the test. Maximum heart rate during shuttle run test and students own experience\nof their competence in physical education was also examined. In addition, this study\ninvestigated associations between effort, perceived exertion, perceived competence in physical\neducation, maximum heart rate during the shuttle run test and measurement result. Gender\ndifferences in the measured variables were also studied. The study involved 86 Grade 4 students\nfrom six classes and two schools in Middle Finland. Measurements were organized according\nthe protocol of Move! -Fitness Test Battery. Subjects' heart rates were measured using Polar\nheart rate sensors and Polar GoFit application. After the shuttle run test, students filled a\nquestionnaire in which they estimated their level of effort and exertion in the test and perceived\ncompetence toward physical activity. The level of effort and perceived competence towards\n\nphysical activity were assessed using the five-point Likert scale and exertion on the Borg\u2019s ten-\npoint scale. Relationships between variables were examined using Pearson\u2019s correlation\n\ncoefficients and gender differences were examined using an independent samples t-test. The\nresults showed that subjects perceived that they had tried very hard during the shuttle run test\n(4.62) and that the exertion they experienced during the measurement was quite high (6.94).\nThe average maximum heart rate of the subjects during the measurement was 202.95, which is\nquite close to the maximum heart rate of an 11-year-old calculated by the maximum heart rate\nassessment formulas. The only statistically significant difference between the genders was in\nperceived level of effort. Girls\u2019 level of effort was higher than boys\u2019. According to the results,\nthere was a relationship between the perceived competence towards physical activity and the\nresult of shuttle run test. Better perceived competence was associated with a better result in the\ntest. In contrast, no statistically significant associations were observed between maximum heart\nrate, perceived level of effort or exertion and shuttle run test result. In conclusion, based on the\nresults Grade 4 students tried hard enough in the test to give reliable information about their\nendurance performance. However, fourth graders are not the actual target group of the Move! -\nphysical performance measurement system, so the results cannot be generalized for Grade 5\nstudents who perform the test in Move! -system.
