Yhteenveto:This bachelor's thesis focuses on analyzing the political aspects of the European Union's newly published Cyber Sanctions regime in 2019. The nature and possible ethical ramifications of cyber sanctions are inspected through a moral scope provided by Michael Walzer and his Just War theory as it is described in "Arguing about war" (2004). To gain perspective on global ethics and strategies in the cyber realm, this study entails how cyber sanctions can be considered simultaneously a threat to the sovereignty of individuals and targets, but also a method of responding to malicious activities in a way which minimizes the risk of civilian casualties
