N\u00e4iden j\u00e4rjestelmien hy\u00f6dyt toteutuvat kuitenkin vasta niiden jalkauduttua k\u00e4yt\u00e4nt\u00f6\u00f6n. Viime aikoina yritysvastuullisuutta k\u00e4sittelev\u00e4 tutkimus on kest\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4n kehitykseen liittyvien k\u00e4sitteiden, mallien\nsek\u00e4 j\u00e4rjestelmien tutkimisen ja m\u00e4\u00e4rittelyn sijaan keskittynyt entist\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n niiden\nk\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6n soveltamiseen organisaatioissa. Yritysten yhteiskunta- ja ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6vastuiden\njalkautus ja soveltaminen organisaatioissa voidaan ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4\u00e4 muutosprosesseina. T\u00e4ss\u00e4\ntutkimuksessa ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6vastuun, tarkemmin sanottuna ISO 14001-ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6johtamisj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n soveltamista organisaatiossa kutsutaan n\u00e4in ollen organisaation ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6my\u00f6nteiseksi muutokseksi ja sit\u00e4 tarkastellaan muutosjohtamisen kautta.\nTy\u00f6 on suoritettu laadullisena, intensiivisen\u00e4 tapaustutkimuksena. Aineisto siihen on ker\u00e4tty haastatteluin, havainnoinnin kautta sek\u00e4 haastattelun kaltaisissa tapaamisissa. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4asialliset vahvuudet ja haasteet liittyen ISO\n14001-ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6johtamisj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n soveltamiseen YIT Infraprojektit-organisaatiossa.\nN\u00e4iden tulosten avulla on koottu toimintasuunnitelma, jonka tarkoituksena on tukea ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6johtamisj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n soveltamista organisaatiossa. Kaiken kaikkiaan tutkimuksen\ntulokset vaikuttavat olevan saman suuntaisia kuin aiempien, ISO-standardien, ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6johtamisj\u00e4rjestelmien ja yritysten ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6vastuun soveltamista tutkivien, rakentamisalaan sijoittuvien tutkimusten tulokset. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tulokset viittaavat erityisesti\nymp\u00e4rist\u00f6tietoisuuden puutteeseen, ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6vastuuta tukevan johtajuuden t\u00e4rkeyteen\nja puutteisiin sek\u00e4 haasteisiin tasapainottaa kest\u00e4v\u00e4n kehityksen eri ulottuvuuksia ja sidosryhmien intressej\u00e4. In the corporate context, these\ninclude for example environmental management systems (EMSs). However, the worth of\nthese systems only truly becomes apparent on the practical level. Recently, the focus of\nthe literature regarding corporate responsibility has shifted from the mere examination of\nsustainability-related concepts, models and systems towards how they should be implemented in organizations.\nThe implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate environmental\nresponsibility (CER) in organizations can be understood as organizational change processes. In this study, the implementation of CER, more specifically, the ISO 14001 EMS in\nYIT Infrastructure projects, has thus been called organizational environmental change and\nexamined from the perspective of change management. The work has been conducted as\na qualitative, intensive case study. The data has been gathered in interviews and meetings\nas well as through observation. The purpose of this study was to find out the key strengths\nand challenges related to the implementation of the ISO 14001 EMS in YIT Infrastructure\nprojects. Based on these findings, an action plan was formulated to support the implementation of the EMS in the case organization.\nAs a whole, the findings from this study seem to go hand in hand with the existing literature regarding the implementation of ISO standards, EMSs and CER in general in the context of construction industry. That is, the key findings of this study specifically highlight\nthe lack of environmental awareness, the importance and lack of CER leadership and culture as well as the challenge in balancing the sustainability triple bottom line (TBL) and\nthe stakeholder interests.
