Kirjallinen osa sis\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4 my\u00f6s johdantokappaleen, jossa k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n tutkielman kannalta relevantteja ilmi\u00f6it\u00e4 supramolekyylikemian tutkimuksessa.\nKokeellisen osan tavoitteena oli syntetisoida useita tioureayksik\u00f6it\u00e4 sis\u00e4lt\u00e4vi\u00e4 asyklisi\u00e4 ja makrosyklisi\u00e4 reseptoreita. Lis\u00e4ksi testattiin osan onnistuneesti syntetisoitujen tuotteiden halogeenisitoutumiskyky jodia sis\u00e4lt\u00e4vi\u00e4 yhdisteit\u00e4 kohtaan. Kompleksaatiotutkimukset suoritettiin reseptorien kiteytysyritysten kautta analysoimalla muodostuneita rakenteita r\u00f6ntgenkristallografialla. Halogeenisitoutumista seurattiin my\u00f6s 1H ja 13C NMR tekniikoiden avulla. Ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 saatiin muodostettua halogeenisidos tripodaalisten tioureareseptorien ja perfluorattujen jodibentseeniyhdisteiden v\u00e4lille. Covered receptors are organized based on their binding properties towards guests. The focus is on synthetic procedures and conducted complexation studies of macrocyclic thiocarbonyl structures. Theoretical work contains also an introductory part discussing the main principles of supramolecular chemistry that are related to the topic.\nThe experimental part aimed to synthesize various acyclic and macrocyclic receptors containing several thiourea moieties. Part of the successfully synthesized structures were tested for halogen bonding abilities towards guests containing iodine. Complexation studies were mostly carried in the solid-state by preparation of crystallization samples. Some endeavors also included 1H and 13C NMR binding studies. Successful attempts for halogen bond formation were achieved between tripodal thiourea receptors and perfluorinated iodobenzene guests.
