Ty\u00f6hyvinvointia kehitt\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 voidaan parantaa ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4n laatua. T\u00e4t\u00e4 kautta ihmisten ty\u00f6urat on my\u00f6s mahdollista saada pidemmiksi, mik\u00e4 on erityisen t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4, sill\u00e4 ty\u00f6ik\u00e4isen v\u00e4est\u00f6n osuus tulee jatkossa v\u00e4henem\u00e4\u00e4n. \nT\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa tutkittiin henkil\u00f6st\u00f6johtajien n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnin kehitt\u00e4mist\u00e4. Tutkimusongelmien kautta pyrittiin selvitt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n, miten henkil\u00f6st\u00f6johtajien mielest\u00e4 ty\u00f6hyvinvointia voidaan kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 sek\u00e4 mit\u00e4 etua ty\u00f6hyvinvointiin panostamisesta on havaittu olevan. Aineisto on ker\u00e4tty Kauppa-, Talousel\u00e4m\u00e4- ja Fakta-lehdiss\u00e4 vuosina 2013\u20132018 julkaistuista artikkeleista. Tutkimusote on laadullinen ja tutkimusmenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 on k\u00e4ytetty sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysia. \nTutkimuksessa on k\u00e4ytetty teoreettisena l\u00e4ht\u00f6kohtana Otalan ja Ahosen ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnin portaita, jotka on kehitetty Maslowin tarvehierarkian pohjalta. Tutkimustuloksien mukaan eniten henkil\u00f6st\u00f6johtajien haastatteluissa tuli ilmi panostamista sosiaaliseen ja psyykkiseen hyvinvointiin ja erityisesti esimiesty\u00f6h\u00f6n. Fyysinen hyvinvointi ja erityisesti henkinen hyvinvointi j\u00e4iv\u00e4t v\u00e4hemm\u00e4lle huomiolle. N\u00e4ist\u00e4 varsinkin henkiseen hyvinvointiin, joka k\u00e4sitt\u00e4\u00e4 muun muassa ihmisen omat arvot ja motivaation sek\u00e4 ty\u00f6n ja vapaa-ajan (ml. perhe-el\u00e4m\u00e4n) yhdist\u00e4misen, voisi panostaa viel\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n. Toisaalta t\u00e4m\u00e4 voi johtua my\u00f6s siit\u00e4, ettei tarvehierarkian periaatteiden mukaisesti ylint\u00e4, eli henkisen hyvinvoinnin, tasoa ole viel\u00e4 saavutettu.
