Suullinen kielitaito, sen arviointi ja mobiilioppiminen (Mobile assisted language learning, MALL) ovat 2000-luvun keskeisi\u00e4 teemoja. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on yhdist\u00e4\u00e4 n\u00e4m\u00e4 kolme aihealuetta ja osoittaa, ett\u00e4 \u00e4lypuhelinsovellukset voivat monipuolisuutensa ansiosta olla hy\u00f6dyllisi\u00e4 suullisen kielitaidon arvioinnissa, koska aiemmat tutkimukset ovat tutkineet MALL:ia vain kielitaidon eri osa-alueiden opettamisen ja oppimisen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmista. Tutkimukseen osallistui 33 oppilasta it\u00e4suomalaisesta lukiosta. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 empiirisess\u00e4 tutkimuksessa k\u00e4ytettiin kvantitatiivisia ja kvalitatiivisia tutkimusmenetelmi\u00e4. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin Webropol-kyselylomakkeella. Tulosten mukaan mieluisimpia koemuotoja olivat keskustelut, \u00e4\u00e4neenlukuteht\u00e4v\u00e4t ja puheet/esitelm\u00e4t. Suurin osa vastaajista halusi tehd\u00e4 kokeet parin ja osa opettajan kanssa. Luokan edess\u00e4 tekeminen jakoi mielipiteit\u00e4. Suurin osa halusi sanallisen tai sek\u00e4 sanallisen ett\u00e4 numeroarvioinnin. Valmiista vaihtoehdoista valittuina suosituimpia \u00e4lypuhelinsovelluksia olivat puheen \u00e4\u00e4nitt\u00e4missovellukset; draamasovellukset, kuten elokuvientekosovellukset; ja roolihahmo- ja avatar-sovellukset, kuten nukketeatteri- ja kertomussovellukset. Sovellusten hy\u00f6tyin\u00e4 n\u00e4htiin mm. j\u00e4nnityksen v\u00e4heneminen, uudet mahdollisuudet, luovuus ja helppous sek\u00e4 oppilaalle ett\u00e4 opettajalle. Haittoina mainittiin mm. keskittymisongelmat \u00e4lypuhelinta k\u00e4ytett\u00e4ess\u00e4, huijausmahdollisuudet, tekniset ongelmat ja teknisen osaamisen taso sek\u00e4 oppilailla ett\u00e4 opettajilla. Johtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksen\u00e4 voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 lukion oppilaat olivat ainakin osittain valmiita ottamaan \u00e4lypuhelinsovellukset avuksi suullisen kielitaidon arviointiprosessiin ja ett\u00e4 he n\u00e4kiv\u00e4t ne mahdollisuutena, mutta my\u00f6s ep\u00e4varmuutta niiden toimivuuden ja oman osaamisen suhteen on.
