Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on saavuttaa syv\u00e4llinen ymm\u00e4rrys Pok\u00e9mon GO -peliss\u00e4 esiintyv\u00e4st\u00e4 arvon yhteisluonnista ja -tuhoamisesta sek\u00e4 n\u00e4iden dynaamisten arvonluonnin lopputulosten taustalta l\u00f6ytyvist\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4arvoista. Palvelukeskeinen logiikka toimii tutkimuksessa l\u00e4ht\u00f6kohtana k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4misess\u00e4 aktiivisina arvon yhteisluojina ja -tuhoajina sek\u00e4 palvelun arvon m\u00e4\u00e4ritt\u00e4jin\u00e4. Means-end -teoria asettaa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien henkil\u00f6kohtaiset arvot ja tavoitteet arvonm\u00e4\u00e4rityksen perustaksi. N\u00e4iden pohjalta tutkimuksessa k\u00e4sitteellistet\u00e4\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4n dynaaminen arvonluontiprosessi. Tutkimuksen empiirisess\u00e4 osiossa hy\u00f6dynnet\u00e4\u00e4n laadullista ja tulkitsevaa l\u00e4hestymistapaa. Analyysi edustaa sekundaarianalyysi\u00e4, sill\u00e4 se perustuu Lintulan, Tuunasen, Salon ja Myersin vuonna 2018 julkaistun tutkimuksen aineistoon. Analysoimalla 43 aktiivisen Pok\u00e9mon GO -pelaajan syv\u00e4lliset laddering-haastattelut saadaan selville peliss\u00e4 korostuvat k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4arvot ja niiden yhteys k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien pelikokemuksiin. Arvojen luokittelussa hy\u00f6dynnet\u00e4\u00e4n Tuunasen ja Kuon arvotypologiaa. Tutkimuksen tuloksena l\u00f6ydet\u00e4\u00e4n viisitoista Pok\u00e9mon GO -pelin k\u00e4yt\u00f6ss\u00e4 korostuvaa k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4arvoa. N\u00e4ist\u00e4 positiivisesti painottuneita arvoja ovat nautinto, kunnianhimo, kuuluvuuden tunne, aktiivisuus, terveellinen el\u00e4m\u00e4, j\u00e4nnitt\u00e4v\u00e4 el\u00e4m\u00e4 ja saavutuksen tunne. Negatiivisesti painottuviin arvoihin kuuluvat sosiaalinen tunnustaminen, vastuullisuus, sis\u00e4inen harmonia, tasa-arvo, itsen\u00e4isyys, oikeudenmukaisuus ja turvallisuus. Yhden arvorakenteen, sosiaalisuuden, havaitaan korostuvan sek\u00e4 arvoa yhteisluovissa ett\u00e4 yhteistuhoavissa pelikokemuksissa. Tutkimus palvelee kirjallisuutta k\u00e4sitteellist\u00e4m\u00e4ll\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4j\u00e4n dynaamisen arvonluontiprosessin ja tuottamalla empiiristen l\u00f6yd\u00f6sten pohjalta uutta tietoa arvon yhteisluonnin ja tuhoamisen ilmi\u00f6ist\u00e4 digitaalisissa palveluissa, erityisesti lis\u00e4tyn todellisuuden mobiilipeleiss\u00e4. Tutkimuksen l\u00f6yd\u00f6kset voivat edesauttaa sellaisten palveluiden suunnittelua ja kehitt\u00e4mist\u00e4, jotka edist\u00e4v\u00e4t palveluntarjoajien ja k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien v\u00e4list\u00e4 arvon yhteisluontia ja arvon yhteistuhoamisen v\u00e4ltt\u00e4mist\u00e4. The study aims to achieve an in-depth understanding of the value co-creation and co-destruction that occurs in Pok\u00e9mon GO and the user values underlying these dynamic value outcomes. As the main theoretical foundations, service-dominant logic provides the lens for understanding the users as active co-creators and co-destroyers as well as determinants of value, and the means-end theory establishes the users\u2019 personal values and goals as the basis for value determination. Based on these foundations, the study proposes a conceptualization of the user\u2019s dynamic value creation process. The empirical part of the study adopts a qualitative interpretative approach, and through analyzing 43 in-depth laddering interviews with active Pok\u00e9mon GO players in Finland, uncovers the key user values highlighted in Pok\u00e9mon GO, and determines the connection of these values to the users\u2019 gaming experiences. The analysis represents a secondary data analysis as it is based on a data set from Lintula, Tuunanen, Salo and Myers 2018 study. The value typology of Tuunanen and Kuo is applied to classify the values. As a result, the study identifies fifteen user values highlighted in the use of Pok\u00e9mon GO. Of these, the positively weighted values, starting with the most significant, are pleasure, ambition, a sense of belonging, activity, a healthy life, an exciting life, and a sense of accomplishment. Negatively weighted values include social recognition, responsibility, inner harmony, equality, independence, justice, and security. One value construct, sociality, is found to be highlighted in both co-creative and co-destructive gaming experiences. The study contributes to the literature by theoretically conceptualizing the user\u2019s dynamic value creation process, and with empirical findings, offering novel insight into the value co-creation and co-destruction phenomena in digital services, more specifically, in AR mobile games. The findings may support the design and development of services that promote value co-creation between service providers and users and support avoiding value co-destruction.
