Tutkielman kirjallisessa osassa k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n yleisesti metalliorgaanisia verkkorakenteita ja niiden t\u00e4m\u00e4n hetken tutkimuksen tilaa. Adsorbenttimateriaaleiksi soveltuvien MOF-materiaalien ohella kirjallisuusosassa tarkastellaan suurimpia ihmisper\u00e4isi\u00e4 hiilidioksidin l\u00e4hteit\u00e4 ja arvioidaan MOF-materiaalien soveltuvuutta hiilidioksidin talteenottoon mm. polttolaitosten savukaasuista. Kirjallisen osan lopuksi k\u00e4yd\u00e4\u00e4n l\u00e4pi MOF:ien 3D-tulostustekniikoita ja kyseisten materiaalien kiinnitystekniikoita erilaisiin membraanialustoihin.\nTutkielman kokeellisessa osassa pyrittiin valmistamaan eri kompleksointimenetelmill\u00e4 uusia verkkorakenteita, joilla olisi mahdollisesti hiilidioksidin sitomisen kannalta suotuisia ominaisuuksia. Yht\u00e4toista metallisuolaa ja viitt\u00e4 orgaanista ligandia eri tavoin yhdistelem\u00e4ll\u00e4 valmistettiin 392 kompleksointireaktiota, joista noin nelj\u00e4sosa tuotti kiteisi\u00e4 lopputuotteita. Yksikiderakennem\u00e4\u00e4rityksiin valikoitui kymmenen erilaista kiteist\u00e4 lopputuotetta, joista yhdeks\u00e4n osalta polymeerinen kiderakenne saatiin m\u00e4\u00e4ritetty\u00e4.\nKompleksointireaktioiden ohella syntetisoitiin kahta jo tunnettua MOF:ia, SIFSIX 1 Cu ja HKUST-1, joista molemmista valmistettiin my\u00f6s 3D-tulostetut kappaleet. N\u00e4iden MOF:ien hiilidioksidin talteenotto-ominaisuudet osoittautuivat termoanalyyttisiss\u00e4 mittauksissa odotettua alhaisemmiksi sek\u00e4 bulkkijauheiden ett\u00e4 3D-tulostettujen n\u00e4ytekiekkojen osalta. Hiilidioksidin sitomista tutkittiin my\u00f6s nelj\u00e4ll\u00e4 kompleksointikiteytystuotteella (solvotermisten reaktioiden tuotteet 191, 198, 222 ja 223), mutta n\u00e4idenkin CO2-adsorptiot j\u00e4iv\u00e4t hyvin alhaisiksi.
