Tutkimuksessa selvitet\u00e4\u00e4n my\u00f6s yl\u00e4kouluryhm\u00e4n liikuntam\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4n yhteytt\u00e4 koulumenestykseen ja koulutyytyv\u00e4isyyteen. Ryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 oli 19 oppilasta, joista 57,9% oli 8. luokkalaisia ja 42,9% oli 9. luokkalaisia. Tytt\u00f6j\u00e4 oli 52,6% ja poikia 47,4%. Tuloksia vertailtiin 2019 Kouluterveyskyselyyn (N=76990), vuoden 2019 LIITU-tutkimuksen (N= 1221) ja vuoden 2017 urheiluyl\u00e4koulututkimuksen (N= 292-531) tuloksiin. \n\nTutkimus toteutettiin siten, ett\u00e4 oppilaat t\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t paperisen kyselylomakkeen sen j\u00e4lkeen, kun vanhemmat ja oppilaat olivat antaneet tutkimusluvan. Analyysimenetelmin\u00e4 k\u00e4ytettiin, ristiintaulukointia, Khiin neli\u00f6 (\u03c72) -testi\u00e4, riippumattomien otosten t-testi\u00e4 keskiarvojen vertailussa, Mann-Whitney- testi\u00e4 riippumattomien otosten v\u00e4lill\u00e4 (liikunnan yhteys koulutyytyv\u00e4isyyteen) ja Pearsonin korrelaatiokerrointa (liikunnan yhteys keskiarvoon).\n\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen perusteella Vetelin liikuntapainotteisen yl\u00e4kouluryhm\u00e4n p\u00e4\u00e4lajit urheiluseurassa olivat pes\u00e4pallo (36,8%), j\u00e4\u00e4kiekko (21,1%) ja yleisurheilu (15,8%). Tulosten perusteella liikunta ei ole yhteydess\u00e4 koulumenestykseen. Yli puolet oppilaista, jotka liikkuivat liikuntasuositusten mukaan (1 h/pv), pitiv\u00e4t koulusta paljon tai hyvin paljon. Vetelin liikuntapainotteisen yl\u00e4kouluryhm\u00e4n oppilaat liikkuivat useammin liikuntasuositusten mukaan kuin LIITU-tutkimukseen (2019) osallistuneet oppilaat (p=0.000). Vetelin liikuntapainotteisen ryhm\u00e4n oppilaista 21,1%:lla oli liikunnasta arvosana 9 ja 73,7%:lla arvosana 10. Verrattuna urheiluyl\u00e4kouluryhm\u00e4n oppilaisiin ero oli tilastollisesti merkitsev\u00e4 (p=0,004). Vetelin liikuntapainotteisen yl\u00e4kouluryhm\u00e4n oppilaista 84,2% piti koulunk\u00e4ynnist\u00e4 melko paljon ja verrattuna kouluterveyskyselyn (2019) tuloksiin ero oli tilastollisesti melkein merkitsev\u00e4 (p=0.017). \n\nJohtop\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6ksen\u00e4 voidaan todeta se, ett\u00e4 toimintaa olisi t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 tutkia lis\u00e4\u00e4 laadullisin ja m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4llisin menetelmin, koska liikuntapainotteinen yl\u00e4koulutoiminta on vasta pilottivaiheessa. Olisi hyv\u00e4 selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 mitk\u00e4 tekij\u00e4t tarkalleen lis\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4t tyytyv\u00e4isyytt\u00e4 liikuntaryhmiss\u00e4 ja mik\u00e4 liikuntam\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 tukee parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla koulutyytyv\u00e4isyytt\u00e4 ja koulumenestyst\u00e4. Koska koulutyytyv\u00e4isyytt\u00e4 voidaan ajatella eri n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmista, tulisi my\u00f6s tutkia, lis\u00e4\u00e4k\u00f6 liikunta koulutyytyv\u00e4isyytt\u00e4 vai hakeutuvatko tyytyv\u00e4iset oppilaat liikuntapainotteiseen toimintaa muita oppilaita useammin.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "This study examines the types and amount of exercise, school satisfaction, school work feelings, academic ability and grades of the lower secondary school group with added physical education in Veteli. The study also investigates the relationship between the amount of physical activity and school satisfaction/success in Veteli school group. The group consisted of 19 students. 57.9% were 8th graders and 42.9% were 9th graders. 52.6% were girls and 47.4% boys. The results were compared with the results of the 2019 School Health Survey (N = 76990), the 2019 LIITU Survey (N = 1221) and the 2017 Sports High School Survey (N = 292-531).In this study students completed the paper questionnaire after the parents and students had given their permission for the study. Cross tabulation, Chi square (\u03c72) test, independent sample t-test for mean comparisons, Mann-Whitney test between independent samples (connection of physical activity to school satisfaction), and Pearson correlation coefficient were udes as methods of analysis (connection of physical activity to GPA) \nAccording to this study, the main sport in lower secondary school group was baseball (36.8%), hockey (21.1%) and track and field (15.8%). According to the results, physical activity is not related to school success. More than half of the students who did exercise according to physical activity recommendations (at least one hour in a day) liked the school much or very much. Pupils in the in lower secondary school group with added physical education were more likely to exercise according to the physical activity recommendations than students in the LIITU study (2019) (p = 0.000. 21.1% of the students in Veteli high school group had grade 9 in sports and 73,7% had grade 10. The difference was statistically significant compared to students in the sports high school group (p = 0.004). 84.2% of students in lower secondary school group with added physical education liked schooling relatively well and compared with the results of the School Health Survey (2019) and the difference was almost statistically significant (p = 0.017).\nIn conclusion, since lower secondary school with added physical education is still in the pilot phase, it would be important to further explore the whole activity through qualitative and quantitative means. It would be an important to find out exactly what factors increase the level of satisfaction and which amount of exercise best supports school satisfaction and school success.
