Yksi tapa tarkastella erilaisuutta on persoonallisuus. Persoonallisuuden merkityst\u00e4 tietoj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6notossa ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottokoulutuksessa on tutkittu toistaiseksi v\u00e4h\u00e4n, vaikka tietoj\u00e4rjestelmien ja erityisesti toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelmien merkitys yritysmaailmassa on t\u00e4n\u00e4 p\u00e4iv\u00e4n\u00e4 suuri. Aikaisemmat tutkimukset tarkastelevat aihetta p\u00e4\u00e4asiassa kognitiivisten toimintojen kuten oppimisen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. Persoonallisuus on kuitenkin monimuotoisempi kokonaisuus ja pit\u00e4\u00e4 sis\u00e4ll\u00e4\u00e4n muutakin kuin pelk\u00e4st\u00e4\u00e4n oppimisen. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4\u00e4 paremmin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4jien persoonallisuutta sek\u00e4 sen merkityst\u00e4 toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6notossa ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottokoulutuksessa. Ensimm\u00e4iseksi t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa esitell\u00e4\u00e4n toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelmien eli ERPien k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoa ja koulutusta k\u00e4sittelev\u00e4 keskeisin teoriatieto. Lis\u00e4ksi esitell\u00e4\u00e4n keskeisimm\u00e4t persoonallisuusteoriat ja aiempia tutkimuksia, joissa persoonallisuutta on tutkittu k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottokoulutuksen yhteydess\u00e4. Empiirisess\u00e4 osiossa toteutetaan laadullinen tutkimus, jossa persoonallisuutta tutkitaan k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6notossa ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottokoulutuksessa havainnoimalla ohjelmistopalveluja tarjoavan yrityksen asiakkaita, jotka ovat ottamassa uutta toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n. Persoonallisuutta tutkitaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4en Big Five \u2013mallia, joka jakaa persoonallisuuden viiteen piirteeseen: ekstroversio, sovinnollisuus, tunnollisuus, tunne-el\u00e4m\u00e4n ep\u00e4tasapaino ja avoimuus. Havainnoinnin lis\u00e4ksi tietoa ker\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n persoonallisuustestill\u00e4 ja t\u00e4ydent\u00e4vill\u00e4 haastatteluilla. Tutkimus lis\u00e4\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 persoonallisuuden merkityksest\u00e4 toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4n k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6notossa ja k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottokoulutuksessa. Tuloksista on apua ohjelmistopalveluja tarjoaville yrityksille k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6nottoprojektien ja koulutusten suunnittelussa. One perspective to study individual differences is personality. The role of personality in implementation of information systems and in end user training has not been studied much. However, today information systems and especially enterprise resource planning systems (ERP systems) have become significant for companies. Previous studies focus on cognitive aspects of personality such as learning. However, personality is much more di-verse and includes more than just learning. The purpose of this study is to understand better users\u2019 personality and its meaning in implementation of ERP systems and in end user training. First the implementation of ERP systems and training is studied through a literature view. Also, the key personality theories and previous studies are presented. Furthermore, personality is studied through a qualitative research by observing clients of a software company. The target group consist of companies that are implementing a new ERP system. Personality is examined based on Big Five model which divides personality into five traits: extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness to experience. The data is also collected by using a personality test and complementary interviews. The study helps us to understand the meaning of personality in implementation of ERP systems and in end user training. Software companies can utilize the results in project planning and planning of training programs.
