T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkielman tarkoituksena oli suunnitella, toteuttaa ja arvioida digitaalisia menetelmi\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4vi\u00e4 liikunnanopetustunteja Etel\u00e4-Pohjanmaan Opistossa Ilmajoella. Tutkimuksen kohdejoukkona olivat opiston ammatillisen perustutkinnon kasvatus- ja ohjausalan opiskelijat, joita on yhteens\u00e4 46. Heist\u00e4 tutkimukseen osallistui 30 opiskelijaa (65 %). I\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4n he olivat 16\u201351-vuotiaita. Opiskelijat t\u00e4yttiv\u00e4t s\u00e4hk\u00f6iset mielipidekyselyt liikuntatuntien j\u00e4lkeen. Tutkimus on tapaustutkimus, jossa k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n p\u00e4\u00e4asiassa laadullista aineistoa. Tapaustutkimuksen luonteen mukaan aineiston keruu on suoritettu monipuolisia menetelmi\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en. Tutkielman aineisto on ker\u00e4tty tutkijaopettajan havaintop\u00e4iv\u00e4kirjoista ja oppilaiden t\u00e4ytt\u00e4mist\u00e4 kyselylomakkeista. Kvalitatiiviset vastaukset analysoitiin sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysill\u00e4 luokittelemalla vastaukset viiden eri teeman mukaan. Ne olivat ilmapiiri/tunnelma, liikunta-aktiivisuus, osallisuus, sujuvuus ja vuorovaikutus. Kvantitatiiviset vastaukset kuvataan prosentuaalisten frekvenssien avulla. Opiskelijoita osallistettiin tutkimukseen yhteisten suunnittelutuntien avulla. Osallistavan pedagogiikan mukaisesti tuntien tavoitteena oli luoda opiskelijoille mielek\u00e4s tapa oppia vuorovaikutuksessa toistensa ja opettajan kanssa. Opiskelijat loivat QR-koodeja pariakrobatialiikkeist\u00e4 ja tutustuivat tanssiliikkeisiin puhelimen avulla. Lis\u00e4ksi opiskelijat pelasivat salibandy\u00e4 Polar-sykemittarit ranteissaan ja harjoittelivat aktiivisuusmittarin tukemina viikon ajan. Pro gradu -tutkielman tulosten mukaan digitaaliset v\u00e4lineet n\u00e4htiin mielekk\u00e4\u00e4n\u00e4 osana opetusta, ja opiskelijat suhtautuivat yleisesti teknologian l\u00e4sn\u00e4oloon opetuksessa my\u00f6nteisesti. Digitaaliset laitteet n\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t motivoivan opiskelijoita yritt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n entist\u00e4 enemm\u00e4n. Opettajan havaintojen mukaan opiskelijoiden aktiivisuus lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyi tutkimusjakson aikana selv\u00e4sti. Digilaitteet toivat vaihtelua opetusmenetelmiin. Opettajan havaintojen pohjalta voidaan todeta, ett\u00e4 Polar-palloilutunti aktivoi opiskelijoita eniten. Polar-palloilutunti koettiin motivoivaksi, koska opiskelijat pystyiv\u00e4t reaaliaikaisesti seuraamaan omia sykkeit\u00e4\u00e4n. Eniten kehitett\u00e4v\u00e4\u00e4 oli QR-koodeilla toteutetussa pariakrobatiatunnissa. Syy t\u00e4h\u00e4n voi olla opiskelijoiden suunnittelemien muodostelmien haastavuus sek\u00e4 QR-koodien toimimattomuus. Saadut tutkimustulokset eiv\u00e4t ole yleistett\u00e4viss\u00e4. Tutkimuksen tulokset ovat kuitenkin hyv\u00e4 esimerkki muille vastaaville opetuskokeiluille, ja siten t\u00e4rkeit\u00e4 ja ajankohtaisia digitalisten v\u00e4lineiden k\u00e4yt\u00f6n yleistyess\u00e4 kaikissa ammatillisissa oppilaitoksissa. Changes in vocational education involve financial reforms, educational reform and goals in vocational college strategies. The aim of this study was to plan, implement and evaluate experiments on physical education lessons by using digital methods at folk high school Etel\u00e4-Pohjanmaan Opisto in Ilmajoki. The target group consisted of 46 students, aged between 16 and 51, studying basic vocational qualification in education and instruction. This study was participated by 30 of them (65%). The students were asked to fill out opinion polls on the net and on their mobiles after the sports lessons. The study is a case study using mainly qualitative material. According to the nature of the case study, material has been collected by using versatile methods. The material for the study has been collected from the Senior Instructor\u2019s observation diaries and from the questionnaires filled out by the students. The qualitative replies were analyzed using content analysis, categorizing the results into five different themes. They were atmosphere, physical activity, involvement, fluency and interaction. The quantitative replies were described by frequencies in percentage.\nThe students were involved in the study by means of having joint planning lessons. According to participatory pedagogy, the aim of the lessons was to create a meaningful way for the students to learn in interaction with each other and with the teacher. Students created QR codes of pair acrobatics moves and got acquainted with dance moves through their mobiles. Furthermore, they played floorball having Polar heart rate monitors on their wrists and trained with fitness tracker for a week. The study states that digital devices were regarded as a meaningful part of tuition and in general, the students had a positive attitude towards technology during the lessons. It seemed like digital equipment motivated the students to try more and more. According to the teacher\u2019s observations, the student activity increased clearly during the study period. Digital devices bring variation to teaching methods.\nOn the basis of the teacher\u2019s observations, it can be stated that floorball activated students most. Ball game lessons were experienced as the most motivating because the students were able to follow their own heartbeats in real time. On the other hand, pair acrobatics lessons which were implemented by QR codes needed the most to be developed. The reason for this can be the fact that body control exercises were too challenging and the QR codes did not work properly. The results of the study cannot be generalized but they are a good example for other equivalent education experiments and therefore important and current as digitasation is getting more common at all vocational schools. At its best the study provides useful information for teachers about educational methods in technology during physical education lessons.
