Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena\noli perehty\u00e4 liikuntatuntiviihtyvyytt\u00e4 k\u00e4sittelev\u00e4\u00e4n ilmi\u00f6\u00f6n l\u00e4hemmin ja luoda kokonaiskuvaa\noppilaiden kokemusmaailmasta.\nTutkimus on toteutettu laadullisin tutkimusmenetelmin puolistrukturoidun teemahaastattelun\navulla kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2019. Haastatteluun osallistui viisitoista 8.-9. luokan oppilasta kahdelta eri\nkoululta ja haastattelut toteutettiin yksil\u00f6haastatteluina oppituntien aikana. Tutkimusaineisto\non analysoitu aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isesti fenomenologisen l\u00e4hestymistavan mukaan.\nTutkimuksen tulosten mukaan merkitt\u00e4vimmiksi liikuntatuntiviihtyvyyteen yhteydess\u00e4 oleviin\ntekij\u00f6iksi nousi viisi p\u00e4\u00e4teemaa: liikunnanopettaja, liikuntaryhm\u00e4, oppituntien sis\u00e4ll\u00f6t,\nkokemus p\u00e4tevyydest\u00e4 sek\u00e4 vaikutusmahdollisuudet. Oppilaiden kokemuksien mukaan\nliikuntatunneilla viihtymiseen vaikuttivat muun muassa tasaiset joukkuejaot, mieluisat lajit,\njoukkuepelit, hyv\u00e4t v\u00e4lineet ja hyv\u00e4t liikuntapaikat, oma osaaminen, ryhm\u00e4henki ja\nryhm\u00e4l\u00e4isten kannustaminen, hauskuus, omat sek\u00e4 ryhm\u00e4n vaikutusmahdollisuudet, opettajan\npersoona sek\u00e4 opettajan tasapuolinen kohtelu, auttaminen ja kannustaminen.\nTulokset osoittivat koululiikunnan olevan nuorten keskuudessa pidetty oppiaine, riippuen siit\u00e4\nmiten oppilaiden kuvaamat p\u00e4\u00e4teemat toteutuvat tunneilla. Additionally, I researched what students in secondary school think about PE in\ngeneral; is it a loved or hated subject in school? The aim of my study was to familiarise\nmyself closely to the phenomenon of PE class enjoyability and develop an understanding on\nthe pupils` experiences.\n\nThe thesis was conducted with qualitative research methods by constructing semi-structured\nthematic interviews in spring 2019. There were 15 participants, from 8th and 9th grade from\ntwo different schools. The interviews were conducted as one-to-one interviews during PE\nclasses. The research material was analysed by utilising phenomenological methods.\n\nThe results showed five main themes as the most significant factors impacting PE class\nenjoyment; the PE teacher, the PE group, topics of the classes, the students' ability to affect\ntopics of their classes and the students trust in their teachers' qualifications. Other factors that\nimpact the enjoyability of a PE classes were; even division of skills between teams, enjoyable\nsports, team sports, good equipment, good places for classes, own skillset, team spirit and\nencouragement from others, fun, ability to affect the class as a group and on your own,\npersonality of the teacher and equal treatment from the teacher, helping and cheering others.\n\nThe results suggest that PE is liked among youth regardless of how the previous main themes\nare present in classes. The results also exhibit what the students deem to be the main purpose\nof PE classes.
