Lis\u00e4ksi tavoitteena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, miten ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t itse kuvaavat palvelevan johtajuuden. Tutkielmalla\npyrit\u00e4\u00e4n lis\u00e4\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n ymm\u00e4rryst\u00e4 palvelevasta johtajuudesta ja sen soveltuvuudesta terveydenhuollon organisaatioon. Tutkimuksen keskeisen\u00e4 teoreettisena\npalvelevan johtajuuden m\u00e4\u00e4ritelm\u00e4n\u00e4 esitell\u00e4\u00e4n Spearsin (2004) m\u00e4\u00e4ritelm\u00e4\npalvelevasta johtajuudesta, jossa johtajuus kostuu seuraavista kymmenest\u00e4\nulottuvuudesta: kuunteleminen, empatia, parantaminen, eettinen tietoisuus,\nvakuuttaminen, k\u00e4sitteellist\u00e4minen, kaukon\u00e4k\u00f6isyys, palveluhalu, ihmisten\nkasvun edist\u00e4minen ja yhteis\u00f6n kehitt\u00e4minen. Tutkimuksen empiirinen aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin terveydenhuollon organisaatiosta ja kohderyhm\u00e4n\u00e4 ovat ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t, jotka t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa ovat sairaanhoitajia. Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin\nhaastattelemalla seitsem\u00e4\u00e4 sairaanhoitajaa tammi- ja helmikuussa 2019. Aineisto analysoitiin teoriaohjaavalla sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysimenetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4. Analyysin tuloksena ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden kokemuksia l\u00e4hijohtajuudesta peilattiin Spearsin palvelevan johtajuuden m\u00e4\u00e4ritelm\u00e4\u00e4n niin, ett\u00e4 Spearsin m\u00e4\u00e4ritelm\u00e4n kymmenen palvelevan johtajuuden ulottuvuutta tiivistettiin viiteen tekij\u00e4\u00e4n. Tuloksissa n\u00e4m\u00e4\ntekij\u00e4t ovat kuunteleminen ja empatia, palveluhalu ja parantaminen, eettinen\ntietoisuus ja vakuuttaminen, ihmisten kasvun edist\u00e4minen ja yhteis\u00f6n kehitt\u00e4minen sek\u00e4 k\u00e4sitteellist\u00e4minen ja kaukon\u00e4k\u00f6isyys. Tutkimuksen tulosten perusteella ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden kuvaukset palvelevasta johtajuudesta vastaavat melko\nhyvin Spearsin m\u00e4\u00e4ritelm\u00e4\u00e4, mutta tuovat siihen my\u00f6s uutta n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmaa. Tulosten perusteella organisaation l\u00e4hijohtajuudessa on monia yhtenev\u00e4isyyksi\u00e4\npalvelevaan johtajuuteen, mutta tulokset osoittavat my\u00f6s selkeit\u00e4 kehitt\u00e4miskohteita, joiden my\u00f6t\u00e4 organisaatiossa voidaan kehitt\u00e4\u00e4 l\u00e4hijohtajuutta enemm\u00e4n palvelevaa johtajuutta vastaavaksi.
