Tutkimuksen tavoitteena ja tarkoituksena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaisia kokemuksia johtajilla on digitalisaation vaikutuksista johtamisty\u00f6h\u00f6n, sek\u00e4 miss\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4rin johtajuus on jo virtualisoitunut. Tavoitteena on my\u00f6s pohtia johtamisen ja johtajuuden digitalisaation eli virtualisoitumisen mahdollisia rajoja ja tulevaisuutta sek\u00e4 sen lis\u00e4arvoa ja ongelmia johtamisen n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. Tutkimus on toteutettu osana Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4n yliopiston kauppakorkeakoulun SALP-tutkimusryhm\u00e4\u00e4, jonka kohdeorganisaatio on OP Ryhm\u00e4 ja sen itsen\u00e4iset osuuspankit. Tutkimusaineisto koostuu 13:sta kohdeorganisaation esimiesasemassa toimivan henkil\u00f6n laadullisesta teemahaastattelusta ja aineisto on analysoitu yhdistelem\u00e4ll\u00e4 kahta analyysimenetelm\u00e4\u00e4, teemoittelua ja sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysi\u00e4. Analyysiss\u00e4 on huomioitu my\u00f6s toimialan vaikutus digitalisaatioon ja muutokseen esimiesty\u00f6ss\u00e4, sill\u00e4 pankkisektori on toimintaymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n\u00e4 dynaaminen ja tarkoin s\u00e4\u00e4nnelty sek\u00e4 toimialana digitalisaation eturintamassa.\nTutkimuksen tulosten mukaan digitalisaatio on vaikuttanut erityisesti johtajan teht\u00e4vien virtualisoitumiseen, esimerkkin\u00e4 s\u00e4hk\u00f6iset johtamissovellukset raportoinnin ja HR:n tukena sek\u00e4 rutiiniteht\u00e4vien automatisaatio. Digitalisaatiolla on ollut merkitt\u00e4vi\u00e4 vaikutuksia my\u00f6s viestinn\u00e4n ja vuorovaikutuksen s\u00e4hk\u00f6istymiseen sek\u00e4 johtajan roolin muuttumiseen. Johtajat olivat hyvin optimistisia digitalisaation ja teko\u00e4lyn mahdollistamista ratkaisuista osana johtamista, mutta tuloksissa korostui selke\u00e4 ihmisen ja koneen tekem\u00e4 yhteisty\u00f6 sen sijaan, ett\u00e4 digitaaliset ratkaisut korvaisivat ihmisen. Johtajien rutiiniteht\u00e4vien automatisaation koettiin vapauttavan johtajien resursseja ihmisl\u00e4heiseen johtamiseen mahdollistaen muun muassa valmentavan johtamistyylin. Johtajien kokemusten mukaan inhimillisyys ja tunteet ovat v\u00e4ltt\u00e4m\u00e4t\u00f6n osa johtamista ja n\u00e4in ollen n\u00e4ist\u00e4 muodostui t\u00e4rke\u00e4 johtamisen osa-alue, jota ei pystyt\u00e4 virtualisoimaan nyt eik\u00e4 tulevaisuudessa. \nDigitalisaatiota ja sen vaikutuksia organisaatioihin ja erityisesti johtamiseen on t\u00e4rke\u00e4\u00e4 tutkia, koska sill\u00e4 on usein suuri vaikutus jokaiseen organisaatiotasoon ja toimintaan erityisesti asiantuntijaorganisaatioissa.
