Jokaiselle n\u00e4ytematriisille m\u00e4\u00e4ritettiin parhaat hajotusreagenssit ja\nn\u00e4ytem\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4t. N\u00e4yttein\u00e4 toimivat bensiini, etanoli, m\u00e4ntypiki\u00f6ljy (TOP), raaka\u00f6ljyn pohjan\u00e4yte\n(POR), Fischer-tislausjakeet, pyrolyysi\u00f6ljy sek\u00e4 erilaiset muovimatriisit. Tutkimuksen\np\u00e4\u00e4tavoitteena oli m\u00e4\u00e4ritt\u00e4\u00e4 jokaisen matriisin 37 alkuaineelle m\u00e4\u00e4ritysrajat nollan\u00e4ytteiden\navulla sek\u00e4 testata menetelmien toimivuutta toistettavuus- ja standardinlis\u00e4yskokeilla. Koko\nmenetelm\u00e4n toimivuus tarkistettiin k\u00e4sittelem\u00e4ll\u00e4 tunnettujen liuospitoisuuksien\ntarkistusliuoksia. N\u00e4ytteet hajotettiin UltraWAVE-mikroaaltohajotuslaitteistolla ja alkuaineet\nanalysoitiin induktiivisesti kytketyll\u00e4 plasma tandem massaspektrometrill\u00e4 (ICP-MS/MS).\nHajoamattomia n\u00e4ytej\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6ksi\u00e4 tutkittiin pyyhk\u00e4isyelektronimikroskoopilla (SEM).\nN\u00e4ytteiden hajotusreagensseina k\u00e4ytettiin Milli-Q-vett\u00e4, typpihappoa, vetyperoksidia sek\u00e4\nfluoriboorihappoa.\nMenetelm\u00e4n kehityksen lis\u00e4ksi ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 vertailtiin n\u00e4yte- ja mikroaaltohajotusputkien\npesumenetelmi\u00e4 kontaminaatioiden pienent\u00e4miseksi. Tutkielman kirjallinen osa k\u00e4sittelee eri\npolymeerilaatuja ja niiden valmistusta, polymeereihin lis\u00e4tt\u00e4vi\u00e4 lis\u00e4aineita sek\u00e4 bensiinin\nvalmistamista muoveista. N\u00e4iden lis\u00e4ksi k\u00e4yd\u00e4\u00e4n l\u00e4pi j\u00e4temuovien eri kierr\u00e4tysprosesseja.\nMikroaaltohajotustekniikat sek\u00e4 ICP-MS/MS-laitteen toimintaperiaate on k\u00e4sitelty yleisesti.\nTavallinen Milli-Q-veden ja typpihapon seos osoittautui toimivaksi hajotusseokseksi melkein\nkaikille n\u00e4ytteille. Vaikeammin hajonneet j\u00e4temuovit sek\u00e4 v\u00e4rj\u00e4tty polypropeeni hajotettiin\nkaksoishajotuksella k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en hajotusreagenssina typpihapon, fluoriboorihapon ja\nvetyperoksidin seosta. Tarkistusliuosten saantoprosentit sek\u00e4 toistettavuudet osoittivat\nkaikkien menetelmien toimivuuden. Alkuaineiden m\u00e4\u00e4ritysrajat olivat alhaisia\nfluoriboorihappoa sis\u00e4lt\u00e4vi\u00e4 hajotusliuoksia lukuun ottamatta haposta aiheutuneiden\nkontaminaatioiden vuoksi.
