Ty\u00f6n intensifikaatio eli kiihtyminen viittaa yksil\u00f6lliseen k\u00e4sitykseen ty\u00f6n intensiteetin lis\u00e4\u00e4ntymisest\u00e4. Tutkimus perustui johtajille suunnattuun (n=705, miehi\u00e4 55,6%) kyselytutkimukseen, joka ker\u00e4ttiin kev\u00e4\u00e4ll\u00e4 2017 Professoriliiton, Tieteentekij\u00f6iden liiton, Suomen Ekonomien ja Tekniikan Akateemisten j\u00e4senrekistereist\u00e4. Johtajien keski-ik\u00e4 oli 53 vuotta (vaihteluv\u00e4li 27-69 vuotta). L\u00f6ysimme Kkeskiarvojen klusterianalyysin avulla johtajien ty\u00f6n intensifikaation kokemuksista viisi profiilia: Riskiprofiili (voimakas ty\u00f6n intensifikaatio, 31%), suotuisa profiili (kohtuullisesti lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyneet ty\u00f6n- ja urasuunnittelun vaatimukset 19%), haaste- ja haittastressoriprofiili (korostuneena ty\u00f6tahdin kiristyminen sek\u00e4 lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyneet tieto- ja taitovaatimukset 20%), keskivertoprofiili (v\u00e4h\u00e4inen ty\u00f6n intensifikaatio, 22%) ja haasteeton profiili (ei ty\u00f6n intensifikaatiota, 8%). Riskiprofiilin sek\u00e4 haaste- ja haittastressoriprofiilin johtajien runsaat kokemukset lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyneist\u00e4 ty\u00f6n intensifikaation vaatimuksista olivat yhteydess\u00e4 heid\u00e4n kokemaansa ty\u00f6uupumukseen, kun taas suotuisan profiilin johtajien kokemat kohtuullisesti lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyneet ty\u00f6n- ja urasuunnittelun vaatimukset lis\u00e4siv\u00e4t ty\u00f6n imua. Toisaalta keskivertoprofiilin ja haasteettoman profiilin v\u00e4h\u00e4iset kokemukset ty\u00f6n intensifikaatiosta olivat yhteydess\u00e4 ty\u00f6n imuun kielteisesti. Lis\u00e4ksi haaste- ja haittastressoriprofiilin johtajien kokemat haittastressorit olivat yhteydess\u00e4 ty\u00f6n vaihtoajatuksiin ja suotuisan profiilin johtajien kokemat haastestressorit vuorostaan yhteydess\u00e4 v\u00e4h\u00e4isempiin ty\u00f6n vaihtoajatuksiin.
