Näyttäisi siltä, että viimeaikoina on tapahtunut paljon kehitystä tällä sovellusalalla, ja muutamia käyttökelpoisia neuroverkkoja on saatu kehitettyä reaaliaikaista 3D-hahmojen liikesynteesiä varten. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkastellaan niistä kahta. Real time motion synthesis of 3D characters makes it possible to generate versatile and realistic animations that can be used, for example, in video games. On the other hand, there is a lot of research going on in the field of artificial intelligence and especially on neural networks. In this thesis, which is done as literature review, we will look at, how these two things can be combined so that we can get even better motion synthesizers for real time use cases. It appears that there has been quite a lot of development on this field lately, and some usable neural networks have been developed for real time motion synthesis of 3D characters. We will look at two of them in this thesis.
