Uudistuneet opetussuunnitelmat ovat muuttaneet liikunnan opetusta ja samalla my\u00f6s ne ovat muuttaneet hyv\u00e4lt\u00e4 liikunnanopettajalta vaadittavia ominaisuuksia sek\u00e4 liikunnanopetuksen tavoitteita. Tutkimuksen tarkoitus oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaisia ominaisuuksia tulisi olla 2000-luvun hyv\u00e4ll\u00e4 liikunnanopettajalla. Hyv\u00e4n liikunnanopettajan ominaisuuksia selvitettiin oppilaiden n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta. Tutkimuksessa keskityttiin niihin ominaisuuksiin, jotka oppilaiden kirjoituksista tulivat esille, mit\u00e4\u00e4n ennakkoasetelmaa ei annettu. Tutkimuksen viitekehys ja ongelma nousi halusta kehitty\u00e4 paremmaksi liikunnanopettajaksi ja saada tietoa juuri oppilailta, mit\u00e4 he toivovat liikunnanopetukselta. Kuuntelemalla oppilaiden mielipiteit\u00e4 voidaan kehitty\u00e4 opettajana ja saada oppilaille onnistumisen kokemuksia ja halua liikkua l\u00e4pi el\u00e4m\u00e4n. \nTutkimus oli menetelm\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4n kvalitatiivinen eli laadullinen ja se perustui fenomenologishermeneuttiseen l\u00e4hestymistapaan. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli tavoittaa tutkimuskohde juuri sellaisena, kun se on. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa fenomenologinen l\u00e4hestymistapa tarkoittaa enemminkin asennetta kuin tiukasti rajattua ja hallitsevaa menettely\u00e4. Tutkimuksessa oli tarkoituksena analysoida vastauksia siten, ett\u00e4 l\u00f6ydett\u00e4isiin samankaltaisuuksia eli vastaukset teemoitetiin, jotta voitaisiin vastata mitk\u00e4 asiat ovat usealle oppilaalle t\u00e4rkeit\u00e4 m\u00e4\u00e4ritelless\u00e4 millainen on hyv\u00e4 liikunnanopettaja. Aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin toukokuussa 2018. \nT\u00e4rkeimmiksi hyv\u00e4n liikunnanopettajan ominaisuuksiksi tutkittavat n\u00e4kiv\u00e4t sen, ett\u00e4 opettaja kannustaa kaikkia, opettaja on oikeudenmukainen sek\u00e4 kohtelee oppilaita tasapuolisesti. T\u00e4rkeimpi\u00e4 yksitt\u00e4isi\u00e4 mainintoja olivat tulla kuulluksi, v\u00e4litetyksi ja huomioiduksi. Renewed curricula have altered exercise teaching and at the same time it has changed the qualities required for a good instructor and the goals of physical education. The purpose of the research was to find out what qualities a good exercise teacher should have in the 21st century. The characteristics of a good physical education instructor were picked out from the pupils' point of view. No preset was given, and the research focused on the features wrote by the pupils. The framework and the problem arose from the desire to develop into a better physical education teacher and to get information from the pupils what they want from physical education. Development as a teacher can be done by listening to the pupils' opinions and give students the experience of success and the desire to move throughout their whole life.\nThe study was qualitative and based on a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach. In this research a phenomenological approach means attitude rather than a strictly limited and dominant procedure. The purpose of the research was to reach the area of a study as genuine as it is. Similarities were searched for the answers and they were themed. This way one can find out what is important to several students in determining the qualities a good instructor has. The material was collected in May 2018 with a questionnaire and the subjects were 7th grade students of the upper secondary school (N = 47). Pupils wrote a free-form answer to the question of what kind is a good physical education teacher?\nThe pupils think that the most important characteristics were that the teacher encourages everyone, is fair and treats the students equally. The most important individual references were to be heard, mediated and taken into consideration. Furthermore, it was desired that everyone could take part in the workouts at their own level and would be successful.
