Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 suomalaisten Pok\u00e9mon GO pelaajien mielipiteit\u00e4 ja selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 yksil\u00f6llist\u00e4 kuuluvuutta. Lis\u00e4ksi selvitet\u00e4\u00e4n muita terveydellisi\u00e4 vaikutuksia, joita lis\u00e4tyn todellisuuden pelit, keskittyen Pok\u00e9mon GO peliin, tuovat. Tutkimusmenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n kyselytutkimusta. Lis\u00e4tyn todellisuuden pelit, jotka viev\u00e4t pelaajan ulos, ovat koko ajan kehittym\u00e4ss\u00e4 ja lis\u00e4\u00e4ntym\u00e4ss\u00e4. Liikuntaan kannustavia pelej\u00e4 on jo paljon, mutta harvat niist\u00e4 saavat pelaajat kokemaan sosiaalista kanssak\u00e4ymist\u00e4 kasvokkain toisten ihmisten kanssa. Liikunnan v\u00e4h\u00e4isyys, sosiaalinen ahdistuneisuus sek\u00e4 sosiaalisten suhteiden heikkeneminen ovat suuria ongelmia sek\u00e4 yksil\u00f6n ett\u00e4 yhteiskunnan kannalta. Pelien on tutkittu antavan positiivisia vaikutuksia pelaamisen alkuvaiheessa, mutta niiden pitk\u00e4aikaisvaikutteita tulee tutkia lis\u00e4\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4 tutkimus antaa arvokasta tietoa pelin vaikutuksista vuosi pelin julkaisemisen j\u00e4lkeen suomalaisten pelaajien yhteis\u00f6llisyydest\u00e4 ja sukupuolten v\u00e4lisist\u00e4 eroista. Tutkimuksen tuloksissa selvi\u00e4\u00e4, ett\u00e4 sukupuolten v\u00e4lilt\u00e4 ei l\u00f6ydy merkitt\u00e4vi\u00e4 eroja. Suomalaiset pelaajat pit\u00e4v\u00e4t pelin yhteis\u00f6st\u00e4 ja vain joka kymmenes suomalainen pelaaja pelaa peli\u00e4 aina yksin. The aim is to find out Finnish Pok\u00e9mon GO players opinions and feelings of social belonging. In addition, other health benefits that augmented reality games generate are examined focusing on Pok\u00e9mon GO. Research methods of this thesis are a literature review of the theories and an online survey as a quantitative research method. Augmented reality games that lure the player outside are evolving and growing in numbers. There are many games that motivate physical activity, but few of them generate social belonging and face-to-face contact with others. Low physical activity levels, social anxiousness and lessening social contacts are an increasing problem for the individuals and for the society. Studies show that games promoting physical activity generate positive effects on the early usage of the game, but the effect seems to lessen with time. This study gives valuable information on the Finnish players\u2019 social paying habits and their gender differences. The results of this study show that there are no major gender differences in the social playing habits of Finnish players. Finnish players, in general, like the Pok\u00e9mon GO community and only few players play the game always alone.
