Tutkimuksen teoriana ja viitekehyksenä on käytetty Koehlerin ja Mishranin (2006) TPACK-mallia, joka perustuu Shulmanin teoriaan (Schumann, 1989) Tutkimuksen viitekehys on yhdistetty ammattikorkeakoulun toimintamalliin. Haastattelujen myötä syntyi uusia löydöksiä, johon nykyiset tutkimukset eivät ole systemaattisesti pureutuneet. Ensimmäinen näistä on, että opettajien TVT-taitojen kehittymistä varten tulisi olla systemaattinen mittaristo. Johdon tulisi ohjata TVT-taitojen kehittämistä huomattavasti nykyistä tiiviimmin. Toinen löydös oli, että opettajat voisivat saada kompensaatiota tekemistään digitaalisista sisällöistä antaessaan materiaalinsa toisten opettajien käyttöön. The purpose of this Master Thesis was to describe how to develop teachers' ICT skills at the University of Applied Sciences. The orientation type of re-search is quantitative, and the method was the case study. The data collection was carry out interviewing by six teachers in case university of applied sciences. The main question was, how the teacher can study new technological skills. This research main idea is how teachers has studied or found new technological skills and to find the best practices using TPACK as a theoretical framework. TPACK means technological pedagogical content knowledge which is a theory formed by Mishra and Koehler (2006). Mishra and Koehler (2006) based their theory to Shulman’s (1989) theory of teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge. The research finding and the interviews show the emergence of new findings that have not been systematically explored by current studies. The first is that there should be a systematic instrument for the development of teachers' ICT skills. Management should monitor of ICT skills more closely. Another finding was that teachers could be compensated for the digital content they made by providing their material to other teachers.
