Tutkimusteht\u00e4v\u00e4n\u00e4 on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 ja kokemuksia organisaatioon sitoutumisesta ja siihen vaikuttavista tekij\u00f6ist\u00e4. Ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden kuvauksilla ja kokemuksilla sitoutumiseen vaikuttavista tekij\u00f6ist\u00e4 pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n luomaan tietoa sitoutumisen kehittymisest\u00e4 huomioiden yksil\u00f6n n\u00e4k\u00f6kulman. Tutkimuksessa pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n my\u00f6s kuvaamaan Meyerin ja Allenin (1991) kolmen komponentin mallin avulla, miksi ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t ovat pysyneet organisaatiossa ja miten he kokevat tulevaisuutensa suhteessa organisaatioon. Tapaustutkimus on toteutettu kohdeorganisaatiossa, joka on globaalin yrityksen er\u00e4s suomalainen yksikk\u00f6. Tutkimusaineisto koostui 10 kahdenkeskisest\u00e4 haastattelusta. Haastattelut toteutettiin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4en aineistonkeruumenetelm\u00e4n\u00e4 puolistrukturoitua haastattelua, jotka analysoitiin teemoittelun avulla. \n \nTutkimuksen teoriaosassa k\u00e4sitell\u00e4\u00e4n sitoutumista k\u00e4sitteen\u00e4 sek\u00e4 aiempia tutkimuksia ja teorioita liittyen sitoutumiseen ja sitouttamisen keinoihin. Tulosten perusteella ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t olivat affektiivisesti sitoutuneita, joka n\u00e4kyi aitona haluna olla osana organisaatiota, organisaation arvojen jakamisena ja yhteenkuuluvuuden tunteena. Sitoutumisesta puhuttiin organisaation n\u00e4k\u00f6kulmasta, johon ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t olivat sitoutuneet. Kohdeorganisaation koettiin vaikuttavan yksil\u00f6n sitoutumiseen esimiesty\u00f6n ja johtamisen, mukaan lukien henkil\u00f6st\u00f6politiikan, merkityksellisyyden, ty\u00f6ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n, mielekk\u00e4iden ty\u00f6teht\u00e4vien, kehittymismahdollisuuksien ja palkitsemisen avulla. Ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4t kokivat, ett\u00e4 erilaiset j\u00e4nnitteet esimiesty\u00f6ss\u00e4, ty\u00f6teht\u00e4vien jakautumisessa sek\u00e4 perheen ja ty\u00f6n yhdist\u00e4misess\u00e4 voivat vaikuttaa heid\u00e4n sitoutumiseensa k\u00e4\u00e4nteisesti. Ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden sitouttaminen tarvitsee jatkuvaa kehitt\u00e4mist\u00e4 ja vaatii ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden kuuntelemista, sek\u00e4 yksil\u00f6llisten tarpeiden huomioimista. T\u00e4t\u00e4 tutkimusta voidaan hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 erityisesti kaupan alalla toimivien ja globaalien organisaatioiden ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden sitouttamisen suunnittelun ja toteuttamisen tukena.
