Tutkimuksesta käy ilmi, että uudenlaisen pelin kehityksessä keskeisimpiä asioita ovat olemassa olevien musiikinopetuspelien järjestelmällinen analysointi, alan käytäntöihin perehtyminen sekä nopeaa prototypointia, testausta ja iterointia sisältävä suunnittelu- ja toteutusprosessi. The subject of this thesis is to investigate the design and development process of a music education game whose mechanics enable embodied and co-operative learning. Such a game differs from typical single player learning games played with handheld con- trollers. The study suggests that rigorous analysis of existing learning games, applying the field’s best practices, and an agile, iterative process with fast prototyping and testing are central parts of developing a novel music education game.
