Barkhausenin kohinan mittauksella voidaan havaita j\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6sj\u00e4nnityksen ja kovuuden vaihteluita mitattavassa ferromagneettisessa kappaleessa. Toisaalta j\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6sj\u00e4nnityksen mittauksessa saadaan eksakti tulos pienelt\u00e4 alueelta. Kuulapuhallus on er\u00e4s j\u00e4lkity\u00f6st\u00f6metodi, jolla lis\u00e4t\u00e4\u00e4n kappaleen pinnan kulutus- ja v\u00e4symiskest\u00e4vyytt\u00e4. Ty\u00f6n tilaajana on toiminut Stresstech Oy ja tutkimuksessa on k\u00e4ytetty Scania AB:n valmistamia ja kuulapuhaltamia n\u00e4ytteit\u00e4, joista mitattiin Tampereen teknillisess\u00e4 yliopistossa Barkhausenin kohinamittaukset, sek\u00e4 r\u00f6ntgenmittaukset Stresstech Oy:n mittauspalvelussa.\nTutkimuksessa etsittiin erilaisilla metodeilla mahdollista korrelaatiota kuulapuhallusparametrien, Barkhausenin kohinasignaalin parameterien, j\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6sj\u00e4nnityksen ja austeniittimittausten v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Erilaisia menetelmi\u00e4 ja tuloksia k\u00e4siteltiin monia erilaisia, joista vain lupaavimmat on esitelty t\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkielmassa.\nK\u00e4sitelty mittaustiedon m\u00e4\u00e4r\u00e4 on hyvin laaja, joten jonkinlaista esik\u00e4sittely\u00e4 on j\u00e4rkev\u00e4 tehd\u00e4. Mitattuihin syvyysprofiileihin sovitettiin toisen asteen polynomifunktio, rajoittaen mittaussyvyys 100 \u00b5m:iin. Saadun funktion kertoimia, pinta-alaa ja derivaatan nollakohtaa k\u00e4ytettiin itse korrelaatiotarkasteluissa. Monien vaiheiden j\u00e4lkeen p\u00e4\u00e4dyin k\u00e4ytt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n monimuuttujaregressioanalyysi\u00e4, joka antoi lupaavimmat tulokset t\u00e4ss\u00e4 ty\u00f6ss\u00e4 esitettyjen korrelaatioiden l\u00f6yt\u00e4misess\u00e4.\nMitattujen tulosten pohjalta merkitt\u00e4vi\u00e4 korrelaatiota l\u00f6ytyi kuulapuhallusparametrien, r\u00f6ntgenmittausten tulosten, sek\u00e4 Barkhausenin kohinan mittaustulosten v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi havaitsin, ett\u00e4 j\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6sausteniittipitoisuudella ei ole kovinkaan suurta korrelaatiota muihin mittauksiin. Merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4mpi havainto oli kuulapuhalluksen intensiteetin olevan dominoiva. Mik\u00e4li se oli liian intensiivinen, se dominoi kuulapuhalluksen peittoparametrin. Toisaalta mik\u00e4li intensiteetti oli alle l\u00f6ydetyn rajan, peittoparameterin korrelaatio j\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6sj\u00e4nnitys ja Barkhausenin kohinan mittausten v\u00e4lill\u00e4 oli merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4.", "language": "fi", "element": "description", "qualifier": "abstract", "schema": "dc"}, {"key": "dc.description.abstract", "value": "This Master\u2019s thesis is concerned with answers to the correlation between shot peening parameters, Barkhausen noise and X-ray diffraction measurement results. The changes in residual stresses and hardness can be measured with Barkhausen noise method while X-ray diffraction method contributes exact result on a specific spot; shot peening is a post treatment method to increase fatigue and abrasion resistance in metallographic sample surfaces. The thesis has been commissioned by Stresstech Oy, and the studied samples were received from Scania AB. The Barkhausen noise measurements were carried out in the Technical University of Tampere, while X-ray diffraction measurements were carried out in Stresstech Oy.\nDuring the thesis, multiple methods were tested to discover the correlation between the shot peening parameters, Barkhausen noise signal parameters, residual stress and retained austenite measurements. Only the most assuring results are presented in the thesis.\nThe amount of raw data is vast, therefore optimization was required. A polynomial of second degree was fitted into residual stress depth measurements up to 100 \u00b5m, polynomial constants a, b and c, function area and function derivative zero point were utilized in the correlation inspection. After several trials a multiple regression analysis was utilized, which produced the most promising results.\nBased on the measurements, some remarkable correlations were found between the shot peening parameters, X-ray diffraction and Barkhausen noise measurements. Furthermore, the retained austenite content did not show much effect on correlation.
