Samalla tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n itseohjautuvuuden ja ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n tuen merkityst\u00e4 ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnille. \nTutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena tutkimuksena JELMO-tutkimushankkeesta saadun aineiston avulla. Aineisto koostui kuuden samassa IT-alan organisaatiossa ty\u00f6skentelev\u00e4n ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n haastatteluista. Haastattelut analysoitiin laadullisen sis\u00e4ll\u00f6nanalyysin keinoin. Tutkimuskysymysten pohjalta nousseet teemat analysoitiin ja niist\u00e4 muodostettiin nelj\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4teemaa sek\u00e4 yksi alateema. \nTutkimustulokset koostuivat nelj\u00e4st\u00e4 p\u00e4\u00e4teemasta, joita olivat hierarkiattomuuden mukanaan tuoma vastuu ja vapaus, ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n tuki sek\u00e4 itseohjautuvuus. Vastuun alateemaksi muodostui lis\u00e4ksi ep\u00e4varmuuden teema. Tutkimuksessa k\u00e4vi ilmi, ett\u00e4 hierarkiattomalla yritysrakenteella oli merkityst\u00e4 ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnin kannalta, sill\u00e4 se vaikutti koko organisaation toimintamalleihin. Samalla ty\u00f6yhteis\u00f6n antaman tuen ja yksil\u00f6n oman itseohjautuvuuden avulla hierarkiattomaan organisaatioon sopeutuminen oli huomattavasti helpompaa ja ty\u00f6 koettiin mielekk\u00e4\u00e4mp\u00e4n\u00e4. \nTutkimuksessa hierarkiattomuus korostui ilmi\u00f6n\u00e4 vahvasti ja her\u00e4tti osittain ristiriitaisia mielipiteit\u00e4 ty\u00f6ntekij\u00f6iden keskuudessa. Henkil\u00f6st\u00f6n aiemmalla ty\u00f6kokemuksella, luonteenpiirteill\u00e4, tavoitteilla ja ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4n ty\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n kokemalla vapaudella oli merkityst\u00e4 ty\u00f6hyvinvoinnin kannalta.
