Lopuksi suoritetaan käytännön mittauksia teollisuusympäristössä. Teoriaan perehdytään käymällä läpi tutkimusmateriaalia joka liittyy energiankeruumenetelmiin, sekä tutkimalla langattomien sensoriverkkojen käytännön sovelluksia, joissa tehokas energiankeruu on ollut avainasemassa. This thesis studies energy harvesting methods suitable for WSN in industrial environment. We will cover common terms, architecture and structure of wireless sensor networks, general energy harvesting methods, first theoretically and after in practice. We will study theory of energy harvesting by concentrating on research material that is based on energy harvesting studies. Energy storing with battery or condensator is also covered. After that we will preview some practical examples of wireless sensor networks, that utilize energy harvesting as important part of operation.
