Ty\u00f6kyvyss\u00e4 on havaittu muiden terveyden ulottuvuuksien tapaan v\u00e4est\u00f6ryhmien v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 sosioekonomisia eroja. Ik\u00e4\u00e4ntyvien sek\u00e4 alemmissa sosioekonomisessa asemissa olevien ty\u00f6kyky on heikompi. Ty\u00f6uupumus on moniulotteinen ongelma ty\u00f6el\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4, joka johtaa pahimmillaan pitkiin sairaslomiin ja ty\u00f6kyvytt\u00f6myyteen. Sill\u00e4 on havaittu olevan kielteisi\u00e4 seurauksia ty\u00f6kyvylle. Haitoista k\u00e4rsiv\u00e4t niin ty\u00f6ntekij\u00e4, organisaatio kuin yhteiskuntakin.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n pro gradu -tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, n\u00e4kyyk\u00f6 ty\u00f6kyvyss\u00e4 ja ty\u00f6uupumuksessa sosioekonomisten tekij\u00f6iden (sukupuoli, ik\u00e4, koulutus, ty\u00f6suhde, ty\u00f6muoto, ammattiasema ja toimiala) mukaisia eroja. Lis\u00e4ksi tarkoituksena oli tarkastella, onko sosioekonomisilla tekij\u00f6ill\u00e4 yhteytt\u00e4 heikentyneeseen ty\u00f6kykyyn tai toistuvasti koettuun kohtuuttomaan uupumukseen.\nTutkimuksen aineisto oli Matka hyv\u00e4\u00e4n kuntoon \u2013kampanjan kev\u00e4\u00e4n 2017 rekkakiertueen ty\u00f6hyvinvointikyselyaineisto (n=1311). Aineisto analysoitiin IBM SPSS Statistics 24 \u2013ohjelmistolla. Koetun ty\u00f6kyvyn ja kohtuuttoman uupumuksen eroja sosioekonomisten tekij\u00f6iden mukaan selvitettiin ristiintaulukoimalla ja khiin neli\u00f6testill\u00e4 (\u03c72). Sosioekonomisten tekij\u00f6iden ja heikentyneen ty\u00f6kyvyn sek\u00e4 toistuvasti koetun kohtuuttoman uupumuksen yhteytt\u00e4 tarkasteltiin bin\u00e4\u00e4risell\u00e4 logistisella regressioanalyysilla.\nTulokset osoittivat, ett\u00e4 koettu ty\u00f6kyky heikentyy i\u00e4n my\u00f6t\u00e4. Lis\u00e4ksi eroja havaittiin ik\u00e4ryhmien, koulutusasteiden, ty\u00f6suhteiden, ty\u00f6muotojen ja ammattiasemien v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Keskeisimmin heikentyneeseen ty\u00f6kykyyn yhteydess\u00e4 on korkea ik\u00e4 sek\u00e4 sosioekonomisista muuttujista perusasteen koulutus ja ep\u00e4s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6llinen ty\u00f6. Ty\u00f6uupumuksessa, ty\u00f6p\u00e4iv\u00e4n j\u00e4lkeisen\u00e4 kohtuuttomana uupumuksena mitattuna, on eroa sukupuolten, ik\u00e4ryhmien, koulutusasteiden, ty\u00f6suhteiden ja ty\u00f6muotojen v\u00e4lill\u00e4. Merkitt\u00e4vimm\u00e4t siihen yhteydess\u00e4 olevat sosioekonomiset tekij\u00e4t ovat naissukupuoli, korkea ik\u00e4, ammattikoulutus ja ep\u00e4s\u00e4\u00e4nn\u00f6llinen ty\u00f6. Tutkimuksen tulokset koskevat vain tutkimuksen kohteena olevaa joukkoa eiv\u00e4tk\u00e4 ole yleistett\u00e4viss\u00e4 koko v\u00e4est\u00f6\u00f6n.\nT\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen perusteella i\u00e4n tuomaan ty\u00f6kyvyn heikkenemiseen tulisi kiinnitt\u00e4\u00e4 huomiota. Naisten ty\u00f6uupumuksen syit\u00e4 tulisi selvitt\u00e4\u00e4 tarkemmin ja niihin pit\u00e4isi puuttua. Working careers lengthen as the retirement age increases. Good work ability can extend the career and increase productivity and well-being. There has been detected socioeconomic inequalities in work ability as well as in other dimensions of health. For example, older people and people at low socioeconomic positions estimate their work ability at a lower level. Occupational burnout is a multi-dimensional problem in working life which, in the worst case, leads to long-term sick leaves and disability retirement. It has been shown to have negative contribution to work ability. Disadvantages are suffered by an employee, an organization, as well as a society.\nThe aim of this Master's thesis study was to investigate how socioeconomic factors (gender, age, education, employment type, work type, occupation and industry) are associated with reduced work ability and repeatedly experienced unreasonable exhaustion. Study also investigated whether there is differences in work ability and unreasonable exhaustion by socioeconomic factors.\nThe data are obtained from the work satisfaction survey of Matka hyv\u00e4\u00e4n kuntoon -campaign of spring 2017 (n=1311). The analysis were conducted by using IBM SPSS Statistics 24 soft-ware. The differences between perceived work ability and unreasonable exhaustion by socieconomic factors were determined by cross-tabulation and chi-square test (\u03c72). The association between socioeconomic factors and impaired work ability as well as repeatedly experienced unreasonable exhaustion were studied by binary logistic regression analysis.\nResults indicated that perceived work ability decreases with age. In addition, differences in work ability were found between age groups, educational levels, employment type, work type and occupational positions. The most important factor associated with reduced work ability was older age from socioeconomic factors primary education and irregular work. There was found differences in burnout, measured as unreasonable exhaustion, between genders, age groups, educational levels, employment type and work type. The most important socioeconomic factors associated with repeatedly experienced unreasonable exhaustion are female gender, high age, vocational training and irregular work. The results of this study concern only the subject group and are not generalized to the whole Finnish population.\nAccording to this study special attention must be paid to the work ability reducing by age. The causes of women\u2019s burnout should be investigated more specifically and should be addressed.
