Yleisimpi\u00e4 universaaleja perustunteita ovat esimerkiksi ilo, suru, pelko ja viha. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 tutkimuksessa tunteisiin suhtaudutaan perustunteita laajemmin, jolloin tunnetilassa voi yhdisty\u00e4 useankin tunteen muodostama tunnekokonaisuus, kuten \u201dh\u00e4peilev\u00e4 syyllisyys\u201d. El\u00e4m\u00e4ntapamuutoksiin liittyy positiivisia tunteita, kuten empatian ja tuen tunteita, tyytyv\u00e4isyytt\u00e4, itsevarmuutta sek\u00e4 energisyyden kasvua, mutta my\u00f6s muutosta est\u00e4vi\u00e4 tunteita, kuten haavoittuvuutta, pelkoja ja h\u00e4pe\u00e4\u00e4. T\u00e4m\u00e4n tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on selvitt\u00e4\u00e4, millaisia tunteita el\u00e4m\u00e4ntapamuutoksen ryhm\u00e4ohjauksessa esiintyy, sek\u00e4 miten tunteiden huomioiminen koetaan el\u00e4m\u00e4ntaparyhm\u00e4ss\u00e4. Tutkimus toteutettiin ryhm\u00e4haastatteluina kahdessa el\u00e4m\u00e4ntaparyhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 (n=12) Keski-Suomen alueella syksyll\u00e4 2015. Tutkimusaineisto analysoitiin Giorgin fenomenologista metodia soveltamalla. Ryhm\u00e4haastattelut analysoitiin erikseen, ja lopuksi molempien ryhmien merkitysverkostoista tuotettiin viel\u00e4 merkitysyhteyksi\u00e4 kuvaava merkityskartta. \n\nEl\u00e4m\u00e4ntapamuutosryhm\u00e4n alussa koettiin iloa, toivoa ja odotusta ryhm\u00e4n tuomasta aikaisempaa pitempikestoisesta avusta. Muutoksen teon taustalla koettiin syyllisyytt\u00e4 ja terveyden menett\u00e4misen pelkoa. Ryhmist\u00e4 nousi selke\u00e4sti esille vertaistuen merkitys ja ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n liittyv\u00e4 luottamus, hyv\u00e4ksynt\u00e4, samaistuminen, voimaantuminen, avun saamisen tunne sek\u00e4 humoristisuus. Alussa ilmennyt pelko muutoksen ep\u00e4onnistumisesta helpottui ryhm\u00e4\u00e4n tutustumisen my\u00f6t\u00e4. Toisaalta ryhm\u00e4n p\u00e4\u00e4ttymiseen liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 yksinj\u00e4\u00e4mist\u00e4 pel\u00e4ttiin ja ep\u00e4onnistumisen ja selvi\u00e4misen pelko oli my\u00f6hemminkin l\u00e4sn\u00e4. Ryhm\u00e4tapaamisista saatiin kattavaa tietoa muutoksen teon avuksi, mik\u00e4 lis\u00e4si osaamisen tunnetta el\u00e4m\u00e4ntavoissa ja tyytyv\u00e4isyytt\u00e4 el\u00e4m\u00e4ntaparyhm\u00e4\u00e4n. Toisaalta toisessa ryhm\u00e4ss\u00e4 nousi esiin pettymyst\u00e4 ohjauksen v\u00e4henemiseen loppua kohden. Muutoksen my\u00f6t\u00e4 min\u00e4pystyvyys, itsearvostus ja onnistumisen ilo kasvoivat. Toisaalta my\u00f6s takapakit ja vaikeudet muutoksen teossa her\u00e4ttiv\u00e4t pettymyst\u00e4 ja turhautumista. Tunteiden k\u00e4sittelyyn ja s\u00e4\u00e4telyyn liittyi vaikeuden ja avuttomuuden tunteita, ja t\u00e4m\u00e4n huomioimista osana el\u00e4m\u00e4ntaparyhm\u00e4n toimintaa toivottiin ja arvostettiin. \n\nVertaistuki, ryhm\u00e4n ilmapiiri ja pitk\u00e4kestoisuus ovat t\u00e4rkeit\u00e4 el\u00e4m\u00e4ntapamuutoksessa sek\u00e4 lis\u00e4\u00e4v\u00e4t osaamisen ja min\u00e4pystyvyyden tunteita. Tunteiden huomioimiselle tai vapaalle keskustelulle tulee varata aikaa el\u00e4m\u00e4ntapamuutosryhmiss\u00e4, koska muutos her\u00e4tt\u00e4\u00e4 monenlaisia tunteita, jotka voivat pahimmillaan vaikeuttaa edistymist\u00e4. Tunteiden huomioimista kannattaa painottaa etenkin ryhm\u00e4n loppuvaiheessa. The most common universal basic emotions are for example happiness, sadness, fear and anger. In this research the emotions are seen boarder when the emotion can be combined of many different feelings and produce the unity of emotions like \u201cshameless guilty\u201d. Positive emotions such empathy, support, contentment, confidence and increased energy have been described in lifestyle change interventions but there have been also describing about inhibitory emotions like fear, shame and vulnerability. The aim of this research was to examine what kind emotions are performed in group-based lifestyle change intervention and how participants experience emotion recognition in lifestyle change group. The research was actualized with focus group interviews in two lifestyle group (n=12) in Central area of Finland in autumn 2015. The data was analysed applying Giorgis phenomenological approach. The focus group interviews were analysed separately and finally the meaning nets of both group were integrated to one meaning map that showed the connections between emotions. \n\nIn the beginning of lifestyle change it was experienced happiness, hope and anticipation of long-term help from lifestyle group. It was experienced guilty and fear of losing health behind lifestyle change. The important aspect arising from interviews was the meaning of peer support and group-related trust, acceptance, identification, empowerment, help and humour. In the beginning experienced fear decreased when familiarising with the group. On the contrary, it was experienced fear of being lonely when group meetings end and the fear of failure and managing was presented also in the end. Participants described getting enough information for the support of the change which increased the feeling of ability with lifestyle behaviours and contentment of lifestyle group. As opposite, among another group it was described disappointment of decreased supervision at the end of lifestyle counselling. Along the change self-efficacy, self-valuing, happiness of success increased. On the contrary, relapses and difficulties caused disappointment and frustration. The feelings of difficulty and helplessness was related to emotion regulation skills and emotion regulation strategies was hoped and valued element to consider as part of the group activities. \n\nPeer support, group atmosphere and long-term group produce safety and help to make lifestyle change and increase feelings of ability and self-efficacy. Enough time should be allowed to recognition of emotions or free conversation in lifestyle groups because behaviour change can induce many different emotions that can be barriers to change. It is recommended to emphasize emotions especially in final stages of group counselling.
