Muutokset vaativat opettajilta ajan tasalla pysymist\u00e4 ja tulevaisuuden ennakointia, jotka vaativat opettajan osaamisen jatkuvaa kehitt\u00e4mist\u00e4 muuttuvien oppimisymp\u00e4rist\u00f6jen sek\u00e4 digitaalisuuden lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyess\u00e4 opetuksessa. Terveysalan opettajien osaamista on tutkittu v\u00e4h\u00e4nlaisesti ja l\u00e4hinn\u00e4 hoitotieteen puolella. Fysioterapiaopettajien k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 osaamisestaan ei ole aiemmin tutkittu. Tutkimus liittyy Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeri\u00f6n Osaavat opettajat yhdess\u00e4! -tutkimushankkeeseen, jonka tarkoituksena on valtakunnallinen terveystieteiden opettajakoulutuksen ja sosiaali-, terveys- ja kuntoutusalan opettajien t\u00e4ydennyskoulutuksen uudistaminen tulevaisuuden osaamisvaatimuksiin perustuen.\nTutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin tammi-maaliskuussa 2018 ryhm\u00e4haastatteluina, joita oli yhteens\u00e4 nelj\u00e4. Ryhm\u00e4haastattelut tapahtuivat 2-4 hengen ryhmiss\u00e4 ja niihin osallistui kahdeksan fysioterapiaopettajaa. Mukana oli fysioterapiaopettajia yhdest\u00e4 yliopistosta ja kahdesta ammattikorkeakoulusta. Haastateltavien keski-ik\u00e4 oli 54 vuotta ja ty\u00f6kokemusta fysioterapiaopettajana oli keskim\u00e4\u00e4rin 15,5 vuotta ja muuta ty\u00f6kokemusta oli 16 vuotta. Haastattelut litteroitiin ja analysoitiin aineistol\u00e4ht\u00f6isesti fenomenografisella tutkimusmenetelm\u00e4ll\u00e4, joka tutkii ihmisten k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 ja niiden v\u00e4lisi\u00e4 eroja ja suhteita. \nTutkimuksen tuloksena fysioterapiaopettajien osaamisen k\u00e4sityksist\u00e4 nousi haastatteluista esille viisi teemaa: fysioterapian osaaminen, verkostoituminen, teknologiaosaaminen, oman osaamisen kehittyminen ja fysioterapian opetus. Teemojen variaatioiden pohjalta muodostui fysioterapiaopettajan osaamisen hierarkkinen kuvauskategoria kapeimmasta laajimpaan. Fysioterapiaopettajan osaamisen ilmi\u00f6 koostui nelj\u00e4st\u00e4 kuvauskategoriasta, joista kapein oli fysioterapia-alan osaaminen, seuraavaksi pedagoginen osaaminen, toiseksi laajin oli yhteisty\u00f6n moninaisuus ja laajin fysioterapian kehittyminen. Opettajan osaamisen laajenemisen kapeimmasta laajimpaan osaamisen kategoriaan mahdollistuu kolmen kriittisen aspektin avulla: pedagogisen osaamisen eron tunnistaminen fysioterapia-alan osaamisesta, moninaisen yhteisty\u00f6n ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4minen voimavarana sek\u00e4 opettajan osaamisen jatkuvuus. Fysioterapiaopettajien k\u00e4sitykset osaamisestaan ovat samansuuntaisia kuin aiemmissa terveysalan opettajien osaamistutkimuksissa on tullut esille. These changes demand for teachers to be updated and anticipate the future which require continuous development of teachers\u2019 competence while variable learning places and digitalization are increasing in teaching. The competence of health teachers are researched quite slightly and only in nursing sciences. Physiotherapy teachers\u2019 conceptions of their competence haven\u2019t studied. The study is a part of The Ministry of Education and Culture Osaavat opettajat yhdess\u00e4! -research project. The project aims to reform national competence requirements for health science, social and rehabilitation teachers based on the future requirements of the competence.\nThe qualitative data were collected from January to March 2018 by four semi-structured group interviews. There were eight physiotherapy teachers in 2-4 persons group from one university and from two university of applied sciences. Participations\u2019 mean age were 54 years, experience of teacher were 15,5 years and another working experience were 16 years. Interviews were transcribed and data were analysed using phenomenographic analysis approach which examine peoples conceptions and differences between them. \nThe data analysis produced five themes from teachers\u2019 conceptions of the competence: the competence of physiotherapy, networking, the competence of technology, the development of own competence and physiotherapy teaching. Variation of themes produced four hierarchical descriptive categories. The phenomenon of physiotherapy teachers\u2019 competence consists of four descriptive categories. The tightest was the competence of physiotherapy, the next was competence of pedagogy, the second wider was the variety of collaboration and the widest was the development of physiotherapy. The widening of teachers\u2019 competence become possible from the tightest to the widest if three critical aspects will be fulfilled. Three critical aspects were: recognition the difference from pedagogical competence to physiotherapy competence, the understanding collaboration as teachers\u2019 resource and continuance of teachers\u2019 competence.
