Verkko-opetuksessa oppimisen laadun mittaaminen on vaikeaa, eikä sitoutuminen itsenäiseen etäopiskeluun sovi kaikille opiskelijoille. Sulautuva opetus yhdistää erilaiset toteutustavat, oppimisperiaatteet ja opetustekniikat parhaan oppimislähtöisen koulutuksen luomiseksi. Sulautuva opetus vaikuttaa muita opetusmuotoja paremmalta, sillä siihen integroidaan opetustapojen menestyksekkäimmät menetelmät ja ominaisuudet. Muokkaamalla kurssit sulautuvan periaatteen mukaisiksi, opetuksesta saadaan sekä yksilöllisempää että yhteisöllisempää. Lisätutkimusta tarvitaan selvittämään, miten opetus muovataan oppimislähtöiseksi ja kuinka opetusta toteutetaan sulautuvalla metodilla. The aim of this academic literary review is to clarify the differences of blended learning as a learning centered approach compared to other methods. Education based on only one method is not up to the modern learning challenges. Classroom based teaching requires physical space a common time schedule and resources concerning the teacher. In web-based learning quality assurance and measuring is difficult, also committing oneself to study independently is not suited for everyone. Blended learning combines the best practices of classroom and web-based learning to unify as a learning centered approach. Blended learning is a combination of the best practices of both methods and therefore seems superior as an educational method. By modifying courses based on the blended method they will become more individualized and more communal. Further study in blended learning is needed to clarify the means of educational modification and implementation as a learning centered approach.
