Tavoitteena oli tuoda n\u00e4kyville bluesskeness\u00e4 ilmenevi\u00e4 jaettuja konventioita ja arvoja sek\u00e4 niiden toisintumista keikkatilanteissa. Tutkimuksessa kartoitettiin my\u00f6s bluesiin liitettyj\u00e4 merkityksi\u00e4 sek\u00e4 bluesin yleist\u00e4 tilannetta Suomessa.\r\nTutkimus asettuu sosiaalisen interaktioteorian laajempaan teoreettiseen viitekehykseen ja tutkimusaihetta l\u00e4hestyttiin Howard Beckerin (1982) muodostaman taidemaailma-k\u00e4sitteen sek\u00e4 sen pohjalta muodostetun musiikkimaailma-k\u00e4sitteen avulla (Martin 1995; Finnegan 1989). Lis\u00e4ksi skene-k\u00e4sitett\u00e4 hy\u00f6dynnettiin tutkimuksessa analyyttisen\u00e4 mallina.\r\nTutkimus toteutettiin etnografisen menetelm\u00e4n avulla. Tutkimusaineisto ker\u00e4ttiin kentt\u00e4jaksolla, joka sijoittui Tampereelle nelj\u00e4\u00e4n eri bluestapahtumaan vuoden 2016 aikana. Tutkimuksessa selvisi, ett\u00e4 Tampereella bluesmusiikin ymp\u00e4rille rakentunut musiikkimaailma koostuu aktiivisista toimijoista, joiden yhdess\u00e4 s\u00e4\u00e4detty ty\u00f6njako s\u00e4\u00e4telee toimintaa. Skene sis\u00e4lt\u00e4\u00e4 aineksia paikallisesta ja ylipaikallisesta skenest\u00e4 ja bluesin monipuolisuus on Tampereella keskeisess\u00e4 asemassa. Tyylilajien kirjoa yll\u00e4pidet\u00e4\u00e4n Tampereella tietoisesti ja bluesin voidaan n\u00e4hd\u00e4 rakentuvan Tampereella sosiaalisesti, yhteisty\u00f6ss\u00e4 tuotettuna. Tampereen bluesskeness\u00e4 ilmenev\u00e4t t\u00e4rkeimm\u00e4t konventiot liittyv\u00e4t interaktioon, sosiaalisiin tilanteisiin ja tarinankerrontaan. Interaktion merkitys bluesmusiikin esitt\u00e4misess\u00e4 korostuu tutkimustuloksissa, mik\u00e4 n\u00e4kyi kentt\u00e4jaksolle sijoittuneilla keikoilla sek\u00e4 haastateltavien kertomuksissa. Interaktion onnistuminen vaikutti kokonaisuutena siihen, miten musiikin sis\u00e4lt\u00f6 tulkittiin j kuinka onnistuneeksi keikkatilanne lopulta koettiin.\r\nBluesmusiikin tilanteen koetaan parantuneen viime vuosien aikana sek\u00e4 paikallisesti Tampereella ett\u00e4 Suomen tasolla. Uudenlaisen verkostoitumisen vuoksi blueskent\u00e4ll\u00e4 kuvattiin tiivistymist\u00e4, mik\u00e4 n\u00e4kyy huononlaisen kilpailun v\u00e4hentymisen\u00e4 ja lis\u00e4\u00e4ntyneen\u00e4 yhteisty\u00f6n\u00e4 kent\u00e4n toimijoiden kesken. Erilaisten bluesmusiikkiyhdistysten toimintaa pidet\u00e4\u00e4n yleisesti t\u00e4rke\u00e4n\u00e4.
