Tässä kirjallisuuskatsauksena toteutetussa tutkielmassa tarkastellaan käyttäjäkokemuksen muodostumista sykemittareissa. Tutkielmassa määritellään sykemittarin käsite osana liikuntateknologian muotoja sekä siihen keskeisesti liittyvä itsensä mittaaminen. Lisäksi tutkielmassa määritellään käyttäjäkokemuksen käsitettä. Kirjallisuuteen perustuen, sykemittarien käytöstä voi muodostua sekä positiivisia että negatiivisia käyttäjäkokemuksia. Tutkielman tuloksena voidaan todeta keskeisimmät tekijät, jotka vaikuttavat sykemittarin käyttäjäkokemukseen. The use of sports technology has increased in recent years and there are differ-ent types of sports technologies in markets. Heart rate monitors are some of the most widely used. They provide a lot of information for the user about their physical activity. The user can track, save, store and share information with other users about their exercises. This bachelor´s thesis was conducted as a literature review. The review discusses user experience in heart rate monitors. The concept of heart rate monitor as a part of sports technologies and the closely related concept of quantifield self are defined. Also the concept of user experience is defined. Based on the literature, using heart rate monitors can have both positive and negative effects to the user experience. The result of this thesis present the most important factors that influence user experience in heart rate monitors.
