He tuottavat ja jakavat kuvia sek\u00e4 videoita sosiaalisessa mediassa. Kouluissa hy\u00f6dynnet\u00e4\u00e4n n\u00e4it\u00e4 taitoja viel\u00e4 todella v\u00e4h\u00e4n.\n\nTutkimuksen teoriaosuudessa k\u00e4yd\u00e4\u00e4n aluksi l\u00e4pi, miten paljon ja mink\u00e4laisissa tilanteissa nuoret k\u00e4ytt\u00e4v\u00e4t mediaa. Seuraavaksi esitell\u00e4\u00e4n videoon k\u00e4ytt\u00f6\u00f6n liittyv\u00e4\u00e4 tekniikkaa ja tuotantoprosessia. Videon hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4misess\u00e4 on kyse sulautuvasta opetuksesta, jossa video sulautetaan mukaan oppimisen prosessiin. Video on ty\u00f6kalu, jolla pyrit\u00e4\u00e4n tukemaan oppimisen tavoitteita ja opettaja k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 videota oman taitojensa mukaisesti. Opetusvideoita k\u00e4ytet\u00e4\u00e4n verkkovideopalveluiden kautta k\u00e4\u00e4nteisess\u00e4 luokkahuoneopetuksessa ja video-triggerein\u00e4. Oppilaat ja opiskelijat my\u00f6s itse tuottavat k\u00e4sikirjoituksenmukaisia videoita.\n\nValittu tutkimusmenetelm\u00e4 on fenomenografia, jolla etsittiin n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4 videon k\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4 ilmi\u00f6n\u00e4. Tutkimuksen aineisto ker\u00e4ttiin seitsem\u00e4ll\u00e4 haastatteluilla, jotka tehtiin ammatillisille opettajaopiskelijoille. Osa opiskelijoista oli jo valmistunut ja kaksi heist\u00e4 oli saanut vuoden verran kokemusta opettajana.\n\nTutkimuksella saatiin vastaus siihen, mink\u00e4laisia k\u00e4sityksi\u00e4 ammatillisilla opettajaopiskelijoilla oli videon k\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4 opetuksessa. N\u00e4kemys videon k\u00e4yt\u00f6st\u00e4 ilmi\u00f6n\u00e4 pohjautui p\u00e4\u00e4osin kokemuksiin, mit\u00e4 haastateltavat olivat saaneet opettajaopintojen kautta. Ammatilliset opettajaopiskelijat hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4v\u00e4t videota erityisesti opetuksen lis\u00e4materiaalina ja opetettavan aiheen havainnollistamiseen. Heill\u00e4 oli muodostunut n\u00e4kemyksi\u00e4, ett\u00e4 videota voidaan k\u00e4ytt\u00e4\u00e4 ty\u00f6kaluna opetuksessa ja se tuo my\u00f6s lis\u00e4arvoa oppimiseen. Videolla voidaan tukea erilaisten oppilaiden opetusta ja sill\u00e4 voidaan saavuttaa suunnitelmallisia tavoitteita.\n\nOpettajat hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4v\u00e4t jo omassa ty\u00f6ss\u00e4\u00e4n verkkovideopalveluiden kautta opetusvideoita, mutta oppilaat kuvaavat videoita melko v\u00e4h\u00e4n. The analysis of this thesis focuses on the intentional use of video as a teaching method. These days, young people learn transmedia skills using different media platforms. Via various social media interactions, young people produce and share pictures and videos. As of yet, schools have made little use of these skills.\n\nThe theory section of this thesis reviews how young people use the present-day media. The following chapter examines the video-related technology and production process. The vid-eo utilization is a method of blended learning, where a video is integrated into the learning process. Therefore, video is a designated tool aimed to support the particular learning ob-jectives. The teacher uses the video in accordance with their own skill set. The teaching videos are also utilized in flipped classroom teaching and in video triggers. Students also produce manuscript videos by themselves.\nThe selected research method in this thesis is phenomenography, which describes the views of using the video as a phenomenon. The study material was collected using seven interviews of teacher students. Some of the participants had already graduated and two of them had one year of work experience as a teacher.\n\nThe survey gave viewpoints to the perceptions vocational teachers have on the use of video as a teaching method. The participants\u2019 attitudes towards using video as a phenomenon was largely based on the experiences they had had in their own studies. It was identified that at the moment, vocational teachers use video especially as a supplementary teaching tool and in order to illustrate the topic being taught. The participants had formed the view that video can be used as a tool in teaching and it can also bring added value to the learning experience. The participants concluded that a video can support the instruction of different students and therefore, using videos can help students achieve systematic goals.\n\nAt the moment, teachers are using video tutorials through their online video work, however, the students shoot videos only rarely. It can be asserted that increasing the usage of video shooting as part of the teaching process would help young people to both understand the media context and to help them to express themselves better. Significantly, it would bring added motivation to the learning process. The activity of students shooting their own videos can also lead to more ambitious attitudes towards the learning process.
